I love the door scheme on these. Hanny & Bobby were along for the journey. These are not Schindler elevators. These are Minnesota Elevators installed by Schindler. Date Recorded: July 21, 2017 Camera: Sony CyberShot DSC-HX90V
Target had a long-standing contract with MEI. Now, before you jump all over me and say "MEI isn't in SoCal", be aware that this store opened in 2002. At that time, MEI (officially Minnesota Elevator Incorporated at the time) was restructuring... They were getting out of traction installations, and they were liquidating tons of materials. Part of this liquidation included local Schindler offices installing MEI hardware. The combination of those particular doors with the other hardware screams MEI... ESPECIALLY in a Target that opened in 2002. I'm not sure by any means... but I'd take the bet in Vegas that this is MEI hardware installed by Schindler.
I love how I am responding to this four years later LOL! I did not know MEI liquidated its traction department. Since this video, I have learned that Schindler does in fact install MEI hardware. When IKEA Burbank relocated a few years prior, Schindler installed all MEI elevators. Now-a-days, I do stumble upon an MEI in SoCal. It's not everyday, but it does happen. Now, I am going to fix the info for this old video.
@@alpaljl I'm impressed you're in comments from 4 years ago! By the way, I left an extended comment on your Ross Burbank video mystery... in short, it was a JCP.
