Meinl Cymbals artist Robert ‘Sput’ Searight plays an exclusive track by Kaz Rodriguez called “Stutter.”

That 10 inch extra dry splash with the 10 inch trash slash should be one of his signature stacks. I love its dry trashy attack with a very short decay. Those typically make the best stacks especially for quick effects!

For some odd reason I was accepted into Booker T. Washington HSPVA as a junior in 1991 in the music cluster as a percussionist/drums. When I first heard Robert on drums I was blown away, pure musicanship. Then one day there was this new technology music showcase during 3rd or 4th period and Robert comes in with this amazing music he wrote that he was playing keyboards to. Mind. Blown. Dude was born to do this.

top 5 drummers of all time for me. dude broke his hand at one point and forced himself to play opposite of the orthodox way. thus the left hand lead. Was the best drummer Snarky Puppy has had to date. Just a great player. Dallas, Texas, stand up!

While I love Garstka and Coleman, Sput really “sells” the Meinl equipment the best in these series with how properly he utilizes them.

Not only that, believe he is a right handed player that can lead with his left hand like Simon Phillips or Cobham, not easy mastering. Also, the guy's a composer, keyboardist and director. He's fantastic!

@@mlc2944 its because he's actually left hand dominate and trained himself to lead with the right for most of his playing but that's why he makes switching right to left lead seem so effortless is just because he's actually left handed😁 alot of people don't know that about him so you really got to praise him for learning too lead right most of the time and he even sets his kits up right handed but he can play opposite setups✌
