Mekhi Becton EVERY SNAP - New York Jets vs Carolina Panthers 

I'm glad Mekhi got some more playing time today. IMO he looked good.

It has always always always been the speed rush and stunt game that Becton has had a hard time against. I do however understand it’s hard to get better at those things while injured and not having the ability to get experience through reps. Hoping these next couple weeks help him brush off the remaining rust, we’re gonna need him on one side or the other protecting Rodgers.

Tippman pretty much controlled all the guys he went up against. He also went far and wide to make blocks and pretty much all clean. Becton made couple of good passing blocks and one good running block. However, most of the time it felt he never put his man out of the play. They kept slipping by him. Health is still a blessing.

Glad to see him out there getting more reps. If Duane Brown isn't cleared to play soon, you gotta think Becton has to get the job cuz Max Mitchell and Billy Turner cannot hold up on the left side. Even if he isn't 100%, he's still better than either of them on the left side. On a side note, was someone making a pot of tea right under the camera? That sound was driving me nuts lol.

Steady improvement. Continues to trend upwards.

He only had two blowups. He doesn’t look all the way healthy, but he actually did OK.

It’s pre season and he’s showing a lot of improvement. I would start him at right tackle next game to get him used to it so when Brown comes back he has a chance to start there. I honestly think he looks good considering he hasn’t played in 2 years & he’s shaking off a lot of the rust. Those 1 on 1’s on the outside he’s holding up well

I just want him to get his reps and finish this season! Next year I expect a bug leap

Q. He looked pretty good besides that obvious whiff. That was a position thing not a weight thing. He just needs reps. Remember it has been two years. Thank you for isolating these plays. It was the one thing on my mind after the game . He will be great again. Let’s make Becton great again!!😮😆 Total domination on D from our second and third teams. We all know Bilichick’s recipe for success, depth at every position.

Looked very shaky early on, but gained confidence as the game went on.

Becton is the wild card with the offensive line if he can stay healthy and can play 75% of his potential it’s a win for the Jets.

Look at the play with the whiffed cut block, the RT whiffed too. Seems more like a funky/specific preseason play asking a very big dude to specifically hit that kind of block. Still wanna see him back making a whole stack of pancakes for ARod. But I’m stoked to see him getting game reps. Lunch and real talk with AR should be helpful also.

I was really happy with his game. Aside from the one miscommunication and then whatever that low bridge/slip play was. He was plowing people in the run game and I only saw him get beat in the pass game once - luckily Zach got it out pretty quick. Overall this was a great step for him though. A bunch of reps and a solid performance. Excited to see him continue to get more comfortable and hopefully take a starting spot week 1.

I've seen enough, if Mekhi is healthy he's our starting LT, enough said. He's better and more talented than any tackle we have on the team.

A few bad plays there for Mekhi. I'd rate this a "C" to "C-" performance. Doesn't look ready to be the starter just yet.

it was not spectacular... not a lot of clean blocks.. however .. he improved as the game went on.. the fact he took a significant amount of snaps will hopefully reduce his worries about the knee and enable him to focus on technique and getting better.. but will need significant and leaps of improvements if he wants to be starter..

Mekhi looked a lot better than I expected considering he only played 7 snaps the first game. He doesn’t look as explosive as his rookie year but it doesn’t look like he’s laboring either. He pass protection is solid and he’s still super powerful. If he can stay healthy he looks like a viable option at Left Tackle…. ….. Just Got to stay healthy

IMO he was AVERAGE at best. He had a couple good blocks but a lot of fuck ups especially in the run game and looked lazy in a lot of plays. His pass blocking was the biggest upside i saw from the game besides the one sack that was definitely his fault. Just holding him to the standard he holds himself to. Talking himself up and tweeting all this shit. Put ur head down and work and i dont understand the hype around him when he is average and doesnt show extra effort at all really. And if anybody is wondering, yes that sack is his fault because bottom line you never give up your inside gap on pass pro. #1 rule
