I didn’t know that people needed an explanation on why Meklords failed, but here we are. If Meklords gameplay isn’t a dead giveaway on why this deck is in the 5D’s garbage can, nothing will. Being focused on the sole aspect of ruining Synchro monsters' lives doesn’t scream terror to anybody unless you really hate Baronne de Fleur, or your locals are just full of Synchron players. They did receive a boost, but that was for it to become a weak OTK machine that was easily interruptible. However, the archetype had a few cards played in the 5D’s format spotlight and were made as solid tech choices. It's too bad they didn’t make a solid deck, and we’ll explain why Meklords should’ve stayed an anime deck instead of a real one.
