@@astrinomicalll WAIT WHAAAT????!?ive never heard abt that!!ive seen a bunch of times where people were saying it’s about her friend having cancer.I apologize!!
i live in a country that’s been going through war for almost 10 years now, this song is so relatable to me. it hits so close to home it scares me honestly... especially the fact that i had to sometimes be woken up by bombs and having to fight with my parents as a kid so they’d stop changing the channel to the news whenever i wanted to watch cartoons on the tv. the lines “eyes like hazel twinkle in the starlight even when they’re crying” make me remember my mom trying to calm me down during missile attacks, since my eyes are also hazel.
im so sorry thats happening to you, i really hope you are safe and get out of there eventually, or atlest somewhere safer in that country :( please be safe take care of yourself and your family.
Fun fact: The garden is Melanie's Friend who has cancer, the garden represents her head and the flowers are her hair, when it says "Even with no flowers?" meaning she has no hair
@@guian8292 this song was scrapped from Crybaby presumably due to thematic reasons, as there are stark differences from the song's theme that don't fit in properly with the album's storyline. Additionally, the overall controversial nature of the song was a touchy subject (and possibly too soon, as the Boston Marathon bombing happened two years prior to Crybaby's release) to describe on a track. (why she didnt release it) - Melanie martinez wiki The song is about two lovers, one of whom is attempting to reassure the other that everything will be fine. There is widespread speculation amongst fans that the song is related to the Boston Marathon bombing. Because of the lyrical similarities to cancer treatment, the song could also be about someone going through chemotherapy. (what it is about) -Melanie martinez wiki
Im literally crying, this song is about something sad, and I’m crying at a lot of parts, countries like Afghanistan, Syria, Ukraine, and countries who faced recent wars are really sad. Even I never experienced my country having war before, this still made me cry
Monday of February 20, 2022. Russia has invaded Ukrainian…I’m terrified. The fact that this song is literally exactly like what is going on in the world. I say this god Bess everyone (even if you don’t believe in god) I hope everyone is say and pray for those who’ve already died and been severely hurt in Ukrainian.❤️ I don’t want my siblings and myself to grow up in war…
Lyrics: Pinky promise I'll still love your garden Even with no flowers Even with no flowers Doctor's orders Don't be brokenhearted Time will still be ours Time will still be ours Never thought that something Something so tragic Could ever happen to Our peaceful, little perfect family I promise Promise to love you You and the children Carousel spinnin' Our neighborhood will always be this pretty Bombs are falling On Monday morning Waiting for the news together An explosion, any moment You make moments last forever and ever (You make moments last forever) Eyes like hazel Twinkle in the starlight Even when they're crying Even when they're crying Constellations Forming out of scar lines Even when they're dying Love will still be trying Never thought that something Something so tragic Could ever happen to Our peaceful, little perfect family I promise Promise to love you You and the children Carousel spinnin' Our neighborhood will always be this pretty Bombs are falling On Monday morning Waiting for the news together An explosion, any moment You make moments last forever and ever Bombs are falling on Monday morning Bombs are falling, you make moments last forever Bombs are falling On Monday morning Waiting for the news together An explosion, any moment You make moments last forever and ever Bombs are falling on Monday morning Bombs are falling You make moments last forever You make moments last forever~
This song is a prediction (never thought that something so tragic could happen to our peaceful perfect little family) remember the day it all happenned. Remember when to now and the breaking pieces left. And here we go with the pieces in unreliable hands, weakness taking over. Because of this, as a part of the family, I summon the past and break the chains of the present, holding onto one more possibility.
This song WASN'T a prediction for the Russia/Ukraine war. It was actually about a friend who had cancer. "Pinky promise, I'll still love your garden, even with no flowers, even with no flowers." - The friend is losing hair from chemotherapy, but Melanie still loves them. "Waiting for the news together, an explosion any moment." - Her and her friend are waiting for the doctor to tell them if the patient their beat cancer or not. "Even when they're dying, love will still be trying." - Melanie will support their friend unconditionally, even if the friend is slowly dying. "Constellations forming out of scar lines." - Often, those with cancer will have to go through surgeries. Melanie's friend has had so many surgeries that their scars are starting to look like stars on a night sky. "Never thought that something, something so tragic could ever happen to our peaceful, little perfect family" - Cancer can affect anybody, perfectly healthy or not. You never expect people to get cancer, especially loved ones.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ AND IF THE CREATOR OF THE VIDEO SEES THIS, PLEASE PIN AFTER READING. I understand not everyone knows this, but Melanie Martinez has put on her social medias that she absolutely hates it when people share her unreleased music and it makes her feel uncomfortable, I don't remember exactly what she said but it went something like: "Why do you listen to my unreleased music? It was unreleased for a reason, it was never meant to see the light of day. Before all this, the studio felt like a safe space to explore and experiment with music, now I feel like I can't do anything without any privacy. How am I supposed to experiment and create good music for all of you if you keep stealing all of it? If you leak or listen to my unreleased music don't bother calling yourself a fan. "It is completely fine if you didn't know this previously, everyone makes mistakes without even knowing, but if you want to call yourself a real fan then I recommend stop all the messing around with unreleased music and give Melanie Martinez AND any other person their privacy.❤️ If anyone sees another including unreleased music of Melanie Martinez' then copy paste the 4 paragraphs above and this paragraph + list of names below into that video, spread the word! ~~@PawprintYT (original creator) if you copy paste this then add your name below to make a list of names that have copy pasted this Who's spreading the word?:@Random_Person8081 Written by me: If you are reading this you might be thinking of commenting that Melanie only cares about unreleased songs about the Portals album. I’m telling you right now Mel is NOT OKAY with people listening to her old or new unreleased/scrapped songs. She already said that those songs were to never see the light of day, don’t bother calling yourself a fan if you listen to her unreleased songs unless it was by accident. Also no, just because I’m commenting on this video does not mean I am watching/listening to the video I am just here to spread a message and trying to get Mel the respect and privacy she deserves
This song reminds me of my grandma that passed away from cancer and "I pinky promise I'll still love ur garden even with no flowers" reminds me of cancer and the Hazel eyes part reminds me of her cuz she has Hazel eyes

Listening to this song on Monday while the news plays on TV in the living room talking about Russia and Ukraine. Many countries are getting involved with the war in hopes of helping Ukraine fight Russia and many speculate the possibility of WWIII, so this song is my first choice for a coping mechanism. I've never experienced War of any kind and can only hope to keep it that way. Stay safe y'all.

Omg that’s so sad 😞 and even if this was released to crybaby it won’t kinda make sense so maybe it might be in mm4 because Melanie Martinez said that the crybaby triology is over so that means the next album might be something else and this song could be in the album
At the start you can hear a sound effect from another song “Carousel” Also by Melanie Martinez, the sound effect kind of sounds like a police siren kind of thing that same sound effect is also in “Crybaby” So that’s kind of interesting!
@@lTSAJ0K3 Bro shut up 😑 Songs can be interpreted in different ways, and its obviously not about a pet. It can still be sad and remind them of their dog.
I saw the video of this with the little girl, my thoughts and prayers are wit the innocent people of Ukraine, it must be awful. All those poor people paid the po price :(
