as a singer myself, i learned that even in putting emotions to ur sings needs limitations. You get too emotional ull start loosing focus on ur breathing and ull look like ur breaking down on stage.
You people want to know whats really going on here? Its not emotions, its not that shes bad. This is an example of a studio performer, they are good when recording and can sing, but arent the kind that can sing day after day. The beginning of the tour starts out great, but their voice deteriotes quickly cause theyve never sung this often in such a fast paced, uncontrolled enviornment. There voice wasnt made to tour they either dont have the training or strength to hold out that long. Once the tour is over and they recover they can record again and start the new tour but the same thing will happen again and again
This happens to A LOT of artists that jump into the industry with less training than needed to sustain singing for a full tour. We arent a opera/classical style heavy society anymore where you would basically train from birth to perform insane musical pieces and operas on a regular basis, its become a lot more relaxed than that, we have more studio performers than we have live performers in music now

Maybe its that one concert where she really wasnt feeling it. Like her fans really wanted it and she just didnt want to sing that time. I went to her concert about a month ago and she sounded great.
I don't think she planned that, she seemed sensitive and fragile, maybe she remembered something about her childhood, these songs have a real meaning for her.
Probably - she mentioned that when writing a song it‘s important for her for it to be an emotional support. In an interview she said that in school kids would say mean things to her and she was very sensitive, so i think she also got teased for being very sensitive. I mean it even was a topic in k-12 so she probably was screaming out her anger at those people:( but i think it‘s cute that she wanted to turn the word cry baby into a compliment
craig parker i don't think he was saying how its amazing she had a rough childhood. I think he's saying its amazing how she puts that emotion in her music and its what makes it amazing. The feeling.
+craig parker crybaby is a character, she said she had a great childhood. Songs like: Tag you're it, Mrs. Potato Head, Sippy Cup, etc. That's not something that actually happened to her.

The pity party one was kind of bad (with Jimmy Fallon). This one was plain awful. People said she was tired or sick but she couldn't even hit the high notes and faded out. If Melanie can't hit the high notes herself, she needs to stop putting them in her songs because a lot of fans can't sing them because their too high!

Don't Phanic! No, not yet, agreed. I like Melanie's music, but she really isn't too amazing, almost all the live concerts I've seen were uncomfortable to listen to. Everyone in the comments try to defend her with "she was sick," "she's been singin her ass off," but the truth is she needs more practice and training. She can't even sing certain parts of her own song correctly. This coming from a small fan that would love for her to get even better at her profession.
+Poop Poo I agree with you. As an aspiring musician who's received vocal training for 3 and a half years now, she sounds like she's singing from her throat rather than her diaphragm which will reduce her ability to a couple of years time. She sings a lot from her head voice as well means her range isn't fantastic, as head voice often switches when a note is unable to be reached in chest voice. Obviously finding your head voice requires some practice so kudos for that but it's limiting her range anyway.
Breno Serem It's beautiful cause it's imperfect, cause she's not really trying to sing perfect here, she signs from her heart and thaat's why it sonds kind of weird but deep. and too emotionall
This is probably my favorite performance of Crybaby, I love how much emotion she has here. She doesn't really have that much emotion in any of her other preformances.

Okay the only really bad part was towards the end when she sung ‘droOoWwwwn’ but thats literally it whys everyone critisizing her i think her vocals were mostly amzaing

I guess people were taken back with how Melanie got loud at the end, but I honestly loved it. Of course I don’t want her screaming to the point she strains her voice, but that’s just her getting into character she wants her audience (that is dry as hell) to feel that strong emotion 😫👌🔥

She really does have a passionate voice and much emotion when she sings. Sure, share your useless opinions all the fuck you want. honestly everyone needs to stop saying she was terrible here. yes you're allowed to have an opinion but she was sick here and also crying. she puts emotion into her songs that's why it sounds raspy and full of rage
Worst performance she's had, and you can blame it on her "being sick" or "she's a studio singer, she doesn't sound good live" or just over straining her voice. But she's human not everyone singer has perfect moments all the time, Mel isn't an artist for everyone. If you don't like her then fine but don't be rude, she's growing as an artist and becoming better at what she does best. I'm sick of all these people hating on her, she isn't a robot or a machine made for music, she's human and that's what makes her the amazing crybaby we all know ❤️

@@fairy6430 Melanie used to be decent before all the smoking and auto tune but your right when she’s not being auto tuned her performances are usually rough. Billie has never been someone people listen to to be blown away by vocals she’s a fine musician but overall just not at all impressive
@@lillaurynn I'm not the biggest Billie fan ever (I like some of her music and one of my friends is a HUGE fan) but her voice an music is just better than Melanie's. Also I don't fuck with Melanie as a person "separate the art from the artist" won't apply to this tho when the art is the problem
@@fairy6430 on a technical level Melanie has a wider range. She doesn’t hit as often but then again when your talk-singing it’s difficult NOT to hit because there’s no room for error when you aren’t even trying. I’m not even a big Melanie fan, I liked her early eras. As far as Billie goes she has some tight beats and good lyricism on occasion but her singing voice is just altogether lackluster
