In the start of the movie, melanie walks into a room with a load of ghosts dancing. That is literally what would of happened here if those ppl kept on dancing. And when Melanie sneezes, all the ghosts walk towards her, as that door opening is them finally getting to escape. The principals son says “dance until u die” that is a literal representation of what could of happened here. Or, this could of already happened in another dimension where Melanie and her friends didn’t save all those kids. They died and are then stuck in that room. Melanie then goes to the school and the whole thing happens, this time, she saves them and they don’t end up stuck there forever ; in the middle of all that, she sees the past people who got stuck in that room. This is all just a theory, none of it is actually the storyline or intended by Melanie. But I’m so bored in quarantine, I came up with it.
