Why do you love Australia so much and why didn't you go to the US or Canada instead? Australia seems so popular amongst people from Singapore and Malaysia
for me it was my university choice, since im doing design, melbourne is such an artsy city that is perfect for me! also popular amongst sg and malaysia probably because its really close by compared to the us & canada! i gave up my canadian uni choices cause they were toooo far 😭

Unless you're planning on going back to visit family often, it doesn't really matter if it's closer or further if anything far away places would be far more memorable & exciting, for one Australia doesn't snow so u should go somewhere far away like Canada!
