Second I've loved this song and just now, when hearing the lyrics, did I realize it's about Elvis, who is the King of rock and roll. Wow! knock my socks off. Thank you Melissa Etheridge.

Melissa sounds incredible just like she always has. I’ve seen her in concert so many times and was amazed every single time. I’m in awe of her talent.

I love Melissa Etheridge and this song really helped me heal about two or three years ago when I pulled it up. Also, her drummer I checked him out, can not remember his name, but I studied with him on RU-vid and he is amazing and very polite and answers his texts. I am not really a musically inclined person, but I heard all you need is a drummer and I can manage that part on the bongos.

Even though you have aged, that voice is still putting me where I long to be. You are legend.

Great song. Certainly one of my favourites of all time. Melissa's voice certainly suits this song. I've never known Melissa Etheridge to cover and release other people's material. Watched her sing alongside Dolly Parton before and both artists performed each other's music. But in terms of seeing Melissa Etheridge release iconic tracks like this it's almost upheard of. Actually, I'm unsure whether Melissa Etheridge released 'Take Another Piece Of My Heart' on one of her earlier albums? So many albums to reflect back over. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I've heard Melissa Etheridge perform other artist's material but to see it on her albums it's almost unheard of. Needless to say this particular track alongside Melissa's voice - priceless.
