Melissa Peterman and Reba McEntire are officially back together on screen! ET’s Deidre Behar breaks the news to Melissa that the NBC pilot she recently filmed with Reba, ‘Happy’s Place,’ was picked up for a full season. Melissa, who previously worked with Reba on the country singer’s self-titled ‘90s sitcom, cries over their decades-long bond. Also joining the sitcom cast is Rex Linn, Reba’s boyfriend and Melissa’s ‘Young Sheldon’ co-star. Melissa says she takes credit for playing matchmaker!

@carolinecraig6253 we had a chance to see them at a theater here years ago. The AC went out and Reba nearly fainted from the heat. Good thing we did not go. Not good for my husband health either.

I am such a huge fan of the old Reba show and in my opinion it never would have been the success it was without Melissa Peterman!! I've enjoyed all of her work over the years but to see her as thrilled as her fans are to hear about the new series being picked up is pretty awesome. I'd love to liken Reba and Melissa to Lucy and Vivian except in my eyes they are both Lucy!!

I hope they can recapture that dynamic without it feeling forced or fake. It will take a lot on both their parts to make if flow and seem natural. This will put their acting ability to the test. Can you capture lightening in a bottle? Stay tuned we will find out!
