Me and Roan tried our luck at a new spot! Caught this White Steenbrass on pink prawn and it put up a lekker fight on my 20pound braid and 5000 Penn reel.
Was about waist deep in surf when I casted. Grapple sinker a must since allot of strong current dragging the line. I usually use 3 way swivel rather than sliding trace when I fish those conditions.
@@johnclaassen9861 are you targeting the first sand banks where initial wave break is? Thanks for the help, ive been using the sliding trace and like you say current is so strong here, been trying to catch at Horse Trails juts further up.
@@johnclaassen9861 Apparently that is the deepest section by Koeberg? beautiful fish man, my goal is to get a Steenbras still :) Bait wise what do you find works best? some guys say prawn others say crab and muscle
