About Mell, she is the granddaughter of Piet Veerman, the lead singer of De Cats. They existed from 1964 to 1985, albeit with some interruptions, and were one of the most successful bands in the Netherlands from 1968 to 1975. with songs like "Lea", "Why","Marian","One way wind".
