I don't think you guys noticed that the first part and second part of the song had different female leads. The first one ( whose dress color keeps changing) is Shilpa Shetty and the second one who comes in the latter part is Madhubala. Prabhu's character is playing the lover of both the girls. In order to differentiate , in this song Rahman has used two different male singers while Prabhu dances with the two girls and of course, two different female singers too.

Oh My God! That colour changing technique was the oldest computer generated animation which was prevalent in almost all the Indian movies during the 90's. And, I am in wonder how come you guys didn't know it. As a child, I wanted to buy a colour changing dress. 🤣

The colour changing thing is quite easy, at least on Adobe Premiere Pro just adjust particular hues. These kind of songs were rarely filmed with green screen at that time

It's the color changing hue effect in a software, that's been applied only to Shilpa Shetty. Thus it changes the color, if you notice a part of her neck and upper body also changes initially when the effect starts. You can notice on 3:57 when it changes to purple color, the other colors are little difficult to notice but its there. The software were later improved to apply the effects only to the selected objects than the whole body.

That is not green screen. It's lighting effect normaly used in most of the old indian movies.

Colour change is very easy to do. There is a software which is used on most songs played on Tamil music channels.

That's not green screen guys. It's just isolated colour grading that's done on their clothes. Many songs used that technique and it became a staple in 90's music videos, especially in South Indian films.

The only way that could be possible is by making her wear full white. Then is becomes easy to change the hues. Green or blue dress will not work here as there was plenty of greenary around and clear sky as well.
