Just wanted you to know that what happened to you at bluewater was completely unacceptable. No one should be attacked based on their ethnicity and that man was just one of many racists who have no regard for humans who are different. I’ve been harassed and attacked just because I’m Hispanic and it’s sad that it continues to happen, even to someone as kind and humble as you. Sending you all the love in the world ❤️

@@therealkitohz No, she spoke about it on Instagram. She and her sister were told by a man to "go back to Wuhan" and when they confronted him, he said he didn't understand because he doesn't speak Chinese. Bluewater staff kicked him out but apparently he took his own sweet time leaving and seemed to be on friendly terms with one of the staff.

Alex: I don’t think it’s fair to except her to talk about a traumatic experience. If she chooses to, that’s fair enough and I can only applaud her ability to, but we shouldn’t expect a person to repeatedly keep speaking about a traumatic experience such as racism.

Your videos always make me feel like I'm at home. All cozy. I just recently heard about what happened at the restaurant. I'm angry. Just the audacity. I'm sad that some in our country has come to feel that acting this way, this racism, is ok and it's not ok. Far from it. I do pray for resolution and justice for what happened to you and Robin.

Just baffles me to even understand the logic of a racist. Knowing that you’re using your platform to show what has happened to you, not many Asians/POC who have been in a similar situation get to speak up about it. Sophia another fantastic video from you! I enjoy watching your vlogs so much... You execute them so well! I'm sorry with what happen to you and Robin in Newport Beach. No one should feel comfortable talking to another human being this way. I still don't understand why he felt he can walk up to a stranger and say those things. I'm happy you are using your platform to put him on blast. This behavior will not be tolerated and with social media now everyone else is aware of his racist behavior as well. Sophia, I am sending you and Robin so much love and support from Korea... I am inactive on social media and didn’t know what happened to you and Robin. Just now I was watching Korean evening news (by MBC) while having dinner, and there was this news report about the racism incident you had at a restaurant. The title said “racism against Korean American women” which instantly got me mad, then they played your video and I saw Robin and heard your voice. I was so shocked and sad that such horrible thing happened, and I felt even more terrible that it happened to you guys that I care about a lot (I am a long time subscriber of yours). But at the same time, I am proud of you and thankful to you for using your presence on socials to raise the public’s awareness. I hope your experience and us speaking up about the matter can contribute to changing the world to a better and fair place for everyone. By the way, I was wondering if the news company contacted you and got your permission to use your video. I just got concerned you or Robin could mind having her face aired on the national news channel. You guys were victims of a hate act and should get as much support as possible personally and also for the good cause as well. But I just got worried as a very private person (who doesn’t even do any social media) that having my face shown on a national news channel for any reason “without” my permission could feel a threat to my privacy. Thank you so much for speaking up about what happened!!! I will be sure to spread the word about your channel. A few years ago, a white woman was walking her dog around that area, and told my friend, who used to live there back in the day, that she was going to make her dog attack her for "not going back to her home country" and proceeded to instigate her dog to attack her. Thankfully, the dog was having none of it, and the lady left, feeling frustrated. Thanks for speaking up, wish more ppl would. That guy was clearly a narcissist that got off on getting away with shit...

ive had a similar experience (in 2009)when an old lady walked past me and told me to "go back to your country".. (i am from australia btw)... and then said "i will punch you in your face"....so i ran. ive never been so scared in my life.when i saw your IG story, i couldnt help but relive that awful experience, but i am so glad that you spoke up and you are very strong in fighting this awful,awful racism issue. If i could turn back time, i would have reported her, but i didnt know if at the time, the issue was even important enough to be reported. but this is 2020, i know this should not be tolerated anymore
