Try the E Phrygian mode. Same scale as C major, but heavily rooted on the E. The natural F adds a differnt color that the F# of the E minor scale doesn't have.

i think the track shoulda just ended at 5:19...the outro just kept going an going...just needs to be shortened or take the next 8 bars an do a chng up in the rhythm on then go back to the first rhythm an close out the last 8 bars ...?? just to chng it up at the end...
