Melody of the Night 

Published a day late I suppose, but love is in the air! And in the music :)

"Melody of the Night" is the name of a beautiful painting by Leonid Afremov which you see in this video, depicting a couple walking in the evening with a couple of pets. This song is based on Melody of the Night, and so assumed the same name. As with most of Afremov's paintings, the style is distinct and the colors are magnificent and vibrant. I immediately wanted to have some 50s romantic movie style strings in an intro, and then go into a smooth D'Angelo type 6/8 groove. So that's what I did, with the help of Jonah!
