He speaks russian, ukrainian.. he understand english but thats hard to talking for him. But main thing that he is nice,open guy , with huge singing talent and he make it very well..

i think his english is good, but he wants to understand everything that is said to him and give sincere answers like that, so that's why he needs a translator. 😊 anyway, he's so unique and smart!!! 💞

William can I just say you're such a great interviewer, artists always feel comfortable with you, and seem very engaged despite the language barrier. When it comes to Mélovin, I think he's one of the best acts this year and doesn't have to win the Eurovision to be a success, he already is. Best of luck to him. ❤

Actually Melovin speaks Russian. He's from the east part of Ukraine where Russian language in much more common.

Foxreyna and armenian and bulgarian and albanian and turkish and yiddish and moldovan:) its a very multinational city, capital of a multinational region,on the edge of Bessarabia. If you like Melovin i think it will be fun for you to learn more about his homeland:)

ibims420 Melovin is speaking Russian and he is of Russian Origin , Odessa (his town) was builded by Russians and later on during the Soviet union it got annexed from Russia to ukraine ( as every other town in modern ukraine )

I think it's more important to understand everything clearly and have an oppportunity to express your thoughts in a right way than to try to speak a language which you are not fluent in and to lose some ideas or misunderstand William) Good luck to Melovin, Ukraine is with you! William, i agree with others, your interview with Melovin is the best among others, please do more, and can we have Alekseev and Melovin together on screen in Lisbon ? at least for few minutes...would be nice:))....they are country fellows,they live in the same city, but is int weird we never saw them talking or taking pics together? hope they don't hate each other ...lol

Nadin Wolf, they don't hate each other for sure, they just didn’t know each other personally before Eurovision. In yesterday's interview Melovin said that he had got acquainted with Alekseev in Amsterdam in a lift while they were going up to dinner =) And Mel said that he was a very pleasant person.
