Probably my favorite show of all time. Thank God for Heather Locklear coming on the show and saving it from being cancelled in the first season. She's a good actress and plays such a good villian.
The show started like a lighthearted show about urban people and frienship and ended like the most over the top soap opera ever, memories...aww the 90s
manystar The first season was so boring, but I watched it anyway. Remember "Sandy"? They couldn't decide if she should have a Southern accent or not. LOL!
I used to tell me ex-boyfriend he couldn't call me during Melrose Place or Beverly Hills 90210. Sometimes, I would let him call me during the commercials lol that's the best I could do lol
Now that Andrew is divorcing Amy cuz of her "ALLEGED" impropriates with T.J., Andrew is not gonna have any problem rebounding. He's gonna be getting chicks DMing him 24/7.
It probably would have been brought up if the interview was longer. It was much too short. We didn't hear from Matt or Jane at all. I still loved it, just wish it could have been longer. Micheal and Peter were missed.
It must have been mentioned, right? These type of interviews go on a while and I’m guessing it was edited out for time. Of course, they were seated so far apart (opposite ends) and, maybe they didn’t want to talk about it since she had dated Grant Show before him. That was a long time ago and they all moved on but it was probably decided not to go there with the Doug & Laura’s marriage. They’ve been married since May of 98. Impressive by Hollywood standards. LOL!!!!
It's funny because arguably, Desperate Housewives was the bigger show, but she'll never shake off Kimberly Shaw on Melrose. She was great in both roles.
Melrose was a godsend for Marcia because she was nursing her boyfriend through brain cancer and playing Kimberly was her outlet. That's why she's so loyal to the show today.
Heather Locklear is celebrating her 60th birthday today, September 25, 2021. She was born in Los Angeles, California on September 25, 1961. She is an American actress famous for her role as Amanda Woodward on Melrose Place (1993-99), for which she received four consecutive Golden Globe nominations for Best Actress - Television Series Drama. She is also known for her role as Sammy Jo Carrington on Dynasty from 1981 to 1989, her first major television role.
This was undoubtedly one of the best TV shows in the 90's, and had it been on mainstream terrestrial channels, it would of been a major success in England considering the success of 90210 and Friends. Great show, great cast, ultra cool in it's time.
I love the fact that they are so friendly and smiling with each other.. Seriously, you can see the camaraderie.. That's so hard for a star cast.. Even with all these years! And I wanted at least a 30 min interview!! 😃😄😄😑
Yes, I love them as well. It was so exciting to follow how the love between the two developed with each day. And how they weren't really aware of that it was love in the beginning...
Angela Djerf I was seriously wishing all the time that Billy would marry Alison! I always felt guilty to admit that Alison was the lady I personally wanted to marry and Amanda( Heather Locklear) in the series was the lady I always wanted to have an affair with at the least opportunity! By the way, where is my favourite actress Vanessa. I wonder why she wasn’t invited here!
Where was Thomas Calabro who played Michael. Not to mention, Jack Wagner, Kristin Davis, Kelly Rutherford, Rob Estes, Lisa Rinna, David Charvet, Jamie Lunar, Vanessa Williams, Amy Locane from Season 1???
What an iconic show, 90s childhood memories, wish they'd have broadcasted again, loved Marcia/Kimberly and Laura/Sydney. Gonna find the Nightline episode
They all look AMAZING! I have the entire series on DVD--well worth the cost. Heather Locklear is a very underrated actress. She's brilliant in everything that she does. I missed seeing Michael. I wish all of them the best! xxoo
She is definitely not underrated. There was a reason she made mucho dollars on every show she was in and brought up the ratings. Unfortunately eventually drinking got the best of her
@@whiteshell1 Heather has always been super successful...tj hooker with Shatner and she got married to motley crue and bon jovi...that's one of the main reasons the show was successful....gotta love heather
Love me some Melrose Place! One of my guilty pleasures - and still is to this day! They got some beauties and straight up cuties and they all still smoking hot all these years later. Now I can see it on my phone and on my tablet - which is even better! By the way, Jake or Billy? I love them both - still do to this day. Now every day can be Melrose Monday!!!
I hate that none of the couples on the show got a happy ending. I think they destroyed Billy and Alison and Jake and Jo. the audience wanted to see them happy in the end. I think they should have done that.
And Heather was initially cast as Susan in DH but turned down the part to do LAX which lasted only 1 or 2 seasons with limited success. I guess she wished she had said yes to DH
@R She has an alcohol and a man problem. Tried to kill her self a couple times. Multiple police calls to her home in the last few years. Really sad because she ruled Tv for several decades.
I LOVED Melrose Place. Let's have another few seasons with the cast at this age. How can they look even better? Wow! I named my kids after cast members. Jake, Amanda and Grant (okay Grant is the same person as Jake but he was so cute)
No offense courtney but your character & jake were boring him saying to Daphne best kisser it because he knows he should been w/jo jake wasn't dull w/her it's funny when you see a hook up on show & it boring it ruin the whole show jake and alison were awful together jake ran out of original cast lady alison was left he saved the worst for last
This show would play right after Beverly Hills 90210 and I used to watch this show and then I stopped and the 1990s were the best for TV and music and movies! I miss the good old days! Now everything sucks!
This show is better than Beverly Hills 90210...I went ahead and read on Wikipedia that Dr. Mancini is a starring character until the end of the show but I do not see Thomas Calabro in this interview...I am in Season 3 and looking forward to the stories in this show
The more u watch, the better it gets and more extreme, but boy they sure dont waste time constantly hooking up and getting engaged after a month of dating, i watched it as a kid in the early 90s, im 29 now and decided to binge watch after binge watching Beverly Hills 90210 on hulu, im on season 4, trust me, keep watching and don't stop, Michael keeps me laughing since the whole show is constant back stabbing left and right LITERALLY 😂😂😂
going on season 4-final season...I don't know what the reviews where but they really stretched it out they must've been doing well...went on for seven years and each season is more than 30 episodes each 45 minutes...
@@camillecovington9623 going on season 5-6...there are no rich black people in Beverly Hills......and yes double crossing and everybody sleeps with everybody on this show...my favorite characters in Courtney Thorne Smith's "Allison" and Dr. Mancini... he always finds a way to stay ahead of people for good or bad...
This is so amazing. They all still look beautiful and handsome. This show was the very first american series I watched and I just loved it. I was thrilled to see some old characters(Michael, Sidney, Jo, Jane Amanda)coming back into the new melrose place but what a shame they only made it one season. I hope they bring back the show!!!
It was on TV when I was a kid, so I really didn't care about this show back then, but now I've watched all the seasons online except for the first one and I absolutely love it! Such a great show, never a dull episode. I think I'm gonna re-watch it from the first season this time.
Lol I skipped the first season too except for like the last couple episodes when Heather Locklear joined the cast. That's when the show started getting good.
I skipped the first season too! The show didn't know what it was trying to be at the beginning. I started it from Season 2 when there was more humor, and it only gets better. Season 2-5 is some of the best primetime soap opera that's ever been on tv. Melrose was definitely the Game of Thrones of the 90s.
This is kind of "cringy" in light of everything that's gone done in the last couple of years with Amy Robach. Even back during this 11 years ago Andrew Shue seems way more into her than she ever was into him.
I guess Amy was inspired by some of the plot lines of Melrose Place when she stabbed her husband in the back by cheating on him with her co-host, leading to both Amy and the co-host being suspended.
After Jo left, the show fell a part, but I did like Kyle, but not Taylor. In the end Kyle and Amanda should have stayed married. I never liked Peter. Peter acted like a snob. Kyle was a down to earth guy and way more handsome than Peter.
Did you know "Kyle" was married to "Jane" throughout the whole show in real life? I do agree about Amanda and Kyle. I don't believe that putting down an actors look though is really relevant to anything. Hunter Tylo was suppose to play Taylor and I think she would have done a good job but they fired her for being pregnant so Lisa Rinna got the role. I think that could have made a difference.
Funny how Grant mentions the Building blowing up, when "Jake" wasn't technically there when it happened. He ran off to confront the evil brother at some building site for beating Jo when the explosion happened.
All audience hate brooke but she's my favorite character on MP !! where brooke come first time on season 4 this show being great & more colourfull with conflict unfortunately all audience hate her so writer killed her character 😭😭😭 when she leave this show start being bored
I remember being stationed at an Army hospital in Germany. I'd be watching Melrose Place in the break room with the nurses on duty and talking about it with my friends at the barracks. I miss the 90's!!!
My daughter introduced me to PLL, and it was lovely to see Laura Leighton as Hanna's mum and the woman from Charmed as Aria's mum :) older actresses one remember from when growing up
“Billy” just seems odd. Like, his body seems “off”, even when he walked out. I predict some sort of MS or something of the sort in the future. ...Just my opinion. Oh, and Laura Leighton And Marcia Cross are EVERYTHING. ....Calgon, TAKE ME BACK!!! ....And where is Mr Michael Mancini?!?
Watching reruns, reminds me of my 90s years and how I loved this soap!! Although time has passed by, I still see the soap and think the promiscuity among all of them was too much. It ruined the spark and the intellectuality that they shot for during the first season. Instead of targetting young responsible adults, it became a crazy lunny soap. After season 2 I recordeed the show and watched it eventually. I still liked it but I lost the spark from the first season, that one that makes you rush and finish all your dues before it started. Loved SHUE!!!
