Melrose Quartet present the first single from their album "Make the World Anew" released on 22.09.23. Animation by Marry Waterson.

"Scarecrow" was written by Lal & Mike Waterson, and first released on their seminal "Bright Phoebus" in 1972, sung by Mike. Here, Jess Arrowsmith sings a tribute to a demo version recorded by Lal at around the same time. Lal's daughter Marry Waterson made this film in August 2023, especially for Melrose Quartet's version of Scarecrow.

There's also an old thread that discusses possible meanings. Google "mudcat Origins: Meaning of The Scarecrow by Lal Waterson". Hopefully that helps.
