You made that look so easy. Melt and pour soaping isn’t as easy as it looks though. Beautiful work.

Love it. Question. I tried to make layer soap. It was good until I cut it and the layers separated.
@v-rebornuk5385
@v-rebornuk5385 3 года назад
Thank you so much @emagyne1 . When layering the soap remember to spray the alcohol between layers, so it can settle without separating. Also, make sure the soap don't stand for too long drying between layers but ensuring it is also hard enough to don't mix. I will be working on a video to give a little bit more tips on this topic. Thanks a lot for sharing your experience :)

Possibly because you didn't use rubbing alcohol between the layers! It's something you have to do. Keep on going , we are all learning!

Would be helpful to put more in the description for us newbies at this. I'd much rather know where you bought the soap related stuff than where you got your gloves and face mask. Grow your channel by doing this

You can purchase silicone soap molds and activated charcoal from Amazon. The melt & pour soap base are available from any craft store like Michael's; as well as Amazon very affordably. Hope this helps, and happy Soaping!

Are coffee grounds safe to use on soap? I'm concern about them. Clogging the drain pipes?
@v-rebornuk5385
@v-rebornuk5385 3 года назад
Hi Ele, thank you for sharing your comment, coffee grounds are perfectly safe to use in the melt and pour soaps. Due to the small amount used, it cannot clog the drains, but it can add a nice exfoliating touch when applying on the skin. ;)

Do your soap sweat from using honey I tend to have that problem sometimes
@v-rebornuk5385
@v-rebornuk5385 3 года назад
Hi Takeila, this could happen if you add too much honey in your mix. For example, if you use 100g of melt and pour then I would recommend to use UP TO 15ml of honey. Thank you so much for your comment and I hope it helps.

@v-rebornuk5385 2 года назад
Hi Alina, the rubbing alcohol help layers to stick together when working with melt and pour. It also helps to get rid of the bubbles.:) Thanks for watching

You shouldn't use metal when using charcoal you just deactivated the properties!

Why do you need gloves with melt and pour .....the lye is not supposed to be there anymore, I thought. Also, aren't you supposed to tell us the correct temp of the soap while working with it?
@v-rebornuk5385
@v-rebornuk5385 2 года назад
Hi Julie, thanks for sharing your comments and questions. The gloves are necessary not only when working with lye or the cold process but, when using other ingredients that can be irritants to the skin, for example the essential oils. Thanks for the tip about the correct temperature. It is normally displayed on the videos but certainly we can ensure to remind our viewers not going up to 150 fahrenheit to avoid the soap to burn.
