Hi there very nice soaps. Spraying the b/b mold gets all the mica out eh. Luv the oval molds perfect adult hand size just got mine a few weeks ago. Thx for sharing 😄
Can you please tell me approximately how thick in millimeters you pour the yellow for the embeds? I found mine very hard to cut with the star cutters - I wonder if I poured them too thick. I’d appreciate any advice
Im making this soon with heart cutouts for Valentines. Question, do all soaps need to be poured aroumd 120 degrees? What should the bottom layer be? Thanks!
This really depends on your brand of base. The bottom layer needs to have a thick skin on it before embeds. The embeds should already be dry. When pouring on top of the embeds, pour as cool as possible before skin develops, I don't know what that temp would be for each base but I think around 120F should be close. 🌻
Hi Anna, would you mind helping me. I grated some Shea butter soap to put in clear m&p soap. The end result looks clumpy and hideous. Did I use to mouch grated soap in the mould? And also, if you grate the soap it is clumpy, even if I spray it with rubbing alcohol? Do you set it out do dry first?
Yes, if you grate a soap make sure it is set (dry) before grating. If not I think that it would just melt into the base you are using and have no shape in it. Remember that your skill will get better with more practice. 🌺
I dont understand why my embeds do not show through...i use a clear base, place the colored embeds and then add a colored background...i wait until the layers cool, never pour hot, spray my embeds with 91% isopropyl alcohol and when I unmold you cant see the embed...this last time I used a bright red embed and light blue background...someone HELP!!!😒
