@KotLeopold Your mental....Just before he died, John Peel described them as the best live band he'd seen since Captain Beefheard in 1976, high praise. Melt-Banana's music has always been designed to be played live, which is why the last few albums have been toned down as they didn;t sound so good on the radio.Unfortunately my camera isn't good enough to record the music well, but get to one of their gigs and you'll see how amazing they are...already got my ticket for there London gig in October.

@Matt74m Are you sure you were watching Melt-Banana? These guys were the best live show I saw last year, and I saw tons. Seeing them live is what made me check out the records more
@KotLeopold Yeah dude, shut up, just recently I got the honor of seeing them play live up in Eugene, Oregon. They were amazing, seeing them actually in live is just... an excellent experience. It was awesome, and Rika is a bass goddess! And Yasuko is a freaking awesome vocalist and it was just.. epic. So shut up >.
@KotLeopold you must have seen them on a rare but severely off night. they are one of the best live bands i've ever seen, maybe ever will see. seen em 3 times, so much better live than their recordings it's not even funny. they make crowds go apeshit too.
@Mujave The albums are better than most of the stuff on here. The last few times they came through the U.S. near were I live I didn't have the cash for tickets. Maybe they'll comeback to the U.S. this year.
@Pantera596 - I actually like Tool (at least live - their albums aren't that great), but I don't understand why they'd let a noise rock band warm up for them. A lot of Tool fans are very dogmatic when it comes to their taste in music and I just don't think this band fits into that specific dogma :D Try to buy a Melt Banana album, maybe you'll like that better than their live performances (I've never seen MB live (apart from youtube clips with terrible sound), but their albums are good).
Aweful. They're albums are interesting sometimes. But I can't get past the vocals. They're so annoying. If you want to see a noisy band that is amazing live. Try Dillinger or converge. I've seen countless videos of them live and seen them a few times myself. Never impressed. More power to anyone who enjoys it tho.
