Melt is so funny- I do not doubt your experience at all but for me, these mattes blew me away. Especially that dark teal 😆. More than all my Natasha Denona, high end or indies. I swear their formula behaves differently on different skin chemistry, more so than any other brand.

I have such bad FOMO for this collection but it's too expensive for me at the moment. I love Melt though. I do agree that their mattes can be dry. I found the greens in Gemini to be dry too. I love Melt for their unique undertones., colour stories and packaging but you're right about the formula. This collection has inspired me to start doing makeup looks again and that's one thing I will give Melt to, they always inspire me. Which indie brands do you recommend that have good pigmentation, matte blendability, and pretty shimmers in the Melt price range? I love Huda's large palette formula but she will never do a colour story like Melt can.

I have 16 melt palettes and the Halloween town palette is my new favourite. I could not put it down!! I did so many different looks and the blue section was my favourite.

Exactly the same for me. Melt lost me for about 2 years, but I still bought there color palettes. (I skipped brunet and dark matter) these are making me fall back in love with melt.

The palettes color story’s look good and packaging but I did buy a melt before and it was exactly the same as what you were experiencing. Thought it was just me, glad to know it’s Melt. You still make it work as usual. Happy Halloween 🎃👻

Thanks for the review I’m always so torn when it comes to Melt Cosmetics because I’ve had problems with blending their mattes as well. However they do some really cool collabs, and the collector in me wants to purchase. I’m proud I’ve stuck to my no buy since December and holding up strong lol. Yeah I’ve been a Melt Matte girlie for years now and I had the same issues you did! So patchy, difficult, scratchy! I don’t understand what happened with these palettes. And for $60…😢

I love them both I’m a huge nightmare before Christmas fan I wear jackets pajama’s and shirts I love how they actually payed attention to what the movie was vs colourpop fans were very angry with the collection I think melt cosmetics thought we can do it better lol 😂 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊they really put the fans into consideration with the Halloween town and Christmas town which is an iconic part of the movie I seriously love everything I will be picking up both palettes I can never get enough of this cartoon that’s by Tim burton and disney die hard fan approved lol 😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃👻👻👻👻👻🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🤶🏻🤶🏻🤶🏻🤶🏻🤶🏻

I like the colors, but I have zero interest in the palettes after watching this review. I'll stick to my colorful Glamlite palettes, and I'd rather invest in a Natasha or Huda palette for that price point. Unfortunately, I'm not sold on the other products either. Guess it's a total pass for me.

I'm super disappointed Melt did us like that. They clearly didn't tell anyone about there being a 2nd one so that people would buy the first one out of fomo😢 just like me!! I can't afford another one but I never would have bought the first palette had I known of the second. The Oogie Boogie shade is a joke... Looks nothing like Oogie Boogie. They added his greens to the other palette

I used to LOVE Melt, but i am noticing that they reuse identical colors across all palettes, and they are getting patchier, muddier, don't blend well...my $5 Profusion palette from Walmart was more pigmented. It seems that a lot of their palettes are more geared towards nostalgia, or to just be collected as a gimick product, rather than them making quality products anymore. I keep buying their products hoping that maybe the formulas will be amazing again and am always disappointed.
