You might not like this, but something I have started doing is hair wraps and I love how I look in them. I really love the youtube channel Wrapunzle Ladies. It is a group of Orthodox Jewish women, they cover their hair after marriage for religious reasons and they have a huge variety of different styles that are really flattering. They also have a shop that sells special non-slip volumisers in a huge range of different shapes, sizes and colours so you can look like you are hiding a ton of hair for fashion instead of medical hair loss. This is a video of the most basic hair wrap, it is my favourite, I went to a party last night wearing this style and felt so beautiful. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--bJA7P3blD4.html

@@ColleenMarble there are ways to wear a wig without adhesive. You could wear the reusable silicone attachments that are intended to take the place of glue or wear a headband wig ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-On9ko-VteYY.html ). You might react to the wig cap or silicone band (or headband) but I imagine if you wash everything well before use and take care to limit exposure by taking breaks it would be a nominal risk (if you can sew, you could even change out the headband to something you react to the least at the moment).

I started wearing wigs 2 years ago, I love them! Wish I would have tried it sooner, when you get the right one it's life changing. I went Synthetic because the human hair industry preys on poor women, but I haven't totally ruled out human hair. A good Synthetic is very realistic and it keeps its style. Belle Tress is one of my favs for realistic hair.

My heart goes out to those women losing their hair. I used to have super thick, curly, long hair. Then when menopause hit, my hair started falling out in large chunks. I have less then half of what I used too, and seriously have not had a hair cut since 2005, it won't grow any longer than mid back. Now the problem I have is finding red hair coloring to cover my gray hair. I tried dying in brown, but I don't like it. Where does a red head go for good hair color? Thank goodness we have people like this hair dresser to give these women back some hair.
@alijane6675
@alijane6675 3 года назад
Hello. Fellow menopausal here. Your hair will start to grow again. A woman’s slowest growth period for hair is 50-60. Sometimes it doesn’t grow at all. But I promise, as soon as your body has reset, your hair will grow again! There’s hope, sister! If you can afford it, a salon is your best bet for colour matching. Home dyed Reds tend to go brassy or black pretty quickly.
@renaysari6631
@renaysari6631 3 года назад
@@alijane6675 That definitely is my age range, it's nice to know it will start growing again. When I was young my mom and grandma would chop my hair off rather than teach me how to care for curly hair, so I like to keep it long. Thank you for those words of hope: Your hair will grow again". :)
@alijane6675
@alijane6675 3 года назад
@@renaysari6631 It will. When the hot flashes start to slow, and the mood starts to balance, the hair starts to grow again. I had really no growth for two or so years when menopause was at its worst, but now that I’m reaching the other side, I’m seeing growth. A good 1/2 an inch a month. And more good news--your new hair is likely to be coarser and stronger than pre-menopause.
