Okay let's go over the Ground Rules, you can't leave first until you chug a beer, any man scoring has to chug a beer, you have to chug a beer at the top of all odd-numbered Innings, oh, and the 4th Inning is the Beer Inning.

West based on seniority. I’m guessing that two of the umps had been doing replay review and were giving two other crew members a night off or a chance to man the replay room.

In the event of multiple chiefs, the senior one takes charge. You could also have a situation (although rare, it happened last season) of a "rookie" being a chief with 3 AAA call-ups. (MLB service clock starts the year an umpire is promoted to full-time MLB status, not when he is an AAA call-up umpire.)

Joe bacame a MLB ump at the age of 23! He came in when umps ruled with an iron first and the players respected them. Keep on going Joe!

Given he has umpired the most games in MLB history and the fact that he came back after the mass resignations, he's certainly a reasonable umpire

That is why I prefer cleaner ball parks. Sure they are less pretty and some would say boring but there are fewer quirks and less questions about plays. At no point should a ball get lost or stuck in the field of play or should a fan be able to reach into the field of play, especially over the home run line. It should never come down to an opinion of what side of a line a ball touched to determine a home run or not. Either it went over a wall or it didn't.
