Tighten up your chin strap and go through their whole catalog. Dale Crover is such a killer, unique drummer. Buzzo is so good as well. Some of the heaviest shit ever.
@@BobSacamano666I understand why a festival set would be limited to an hour: the schedule is tight, there are other bands etc. However, on their own tour they can play however long they want. I’m not expecting a three-hour marathon, but 60 Minutes are a joke. Do they want quality over quantity though? Or is this „enough“ for a best-of/40th anniversary setlist?
@@MouthVisuals I'm not sure, I've seen them tons of times in all small venue settings and I never felt I got shorted by the length of the act. But I couldn't recall how long they played each time.
Worlds best live band, no competition and The Melvins should be up there with the other greatest, Zeppelin, Floyd, Priest, Purple etc, they are so god damn important!
I’ve been at countless MELVINS gigs since 1987, ‘round when they moved down to SF where I’m from. Seem em w Lori seen em w 2 drummers, w Pinkus, Preston etc etc seen em open for Morbid Angel, seen em play Al’s Bar w Trevor Dunn in stand up bass, seen em 4 weekends in a row w Trevor & Cody at an EPIC 2-sets a night Endless Residency in LA .. but THIS WOW. Might be the greatest MELVINS set I’ve ever seen and I wasn’t even there! Stevie M owns on this night holy shit -

I grew up on Val Vista dr. And was fortunate to live a few houses from king buzzo in the 80's dishes would rettle from their garage rehearsals. He had a house on highland drive which is a branch off of Val Vista dr. And is right behind my parents house which is where my parents live to this day. The Melvins have always been always been as heavy as it gets the name Melvins is named after a checker at the only grocery store in Montesano.. pick rite thriftway
Man, they sound as good as ever! I got to see them about 10 times from 1994-2004, i am way overdue to go to a Melvins show! Been a while since I've checked out any of their newer live performances, this one is AMAZING!Now im gonna have to get caught up on their last couple of studio albums.
Melvins is the last rock band alive. The first time i saw them was in argentina around 2008, and was SUPER late to see them as the fist time.. (if we knows since when they are shaking each soul) Sure, we love rock, but this band is much more than that.. They really touch souls, and make a cleaning in each show... SURE, drunks and idiots pushing will be always, but this band is from heaven and hell.
First time I ever saw them was the now infamous Montreal show with Primus, I have seen them every time I’ve had the opportunity since. I can’t wait until this tour reaches us this year, I see it’ll be another great show. Speedy recovery Dale
9:09 is a complete and utter copy of an early demo of the song The Beatles did while working out the final arrangement that ended up on the LP. Obviously George Martin talked them out of this original version.
Steve McDonald is a LEGEND. He was playing shows with Black Flag when he was in Junior High with his band Redd Kross. A cool guy as well. He's great with the Melvins.
