02:24 Melvins are such a great cover band ( besides the odd stinker such as their interpretation of TG´s ´Hamburger Lady ` ) , ´ The ballad of Dwight Fry ` is done perfectly by them , and I´m the guy who got into Alice Cooper in my teens when ´ Raise your fist and yell `came out . Soon discovered the ´ Original Alice Cooper band ` which was a very different entity than AC solo . Once I discovered those 4 classic albums in a row beginning with ´ Love it to Death ` , that was all I needed from his catalogue ( ´Killer ` , ´School´s out ` ,´Billion dollar babies ` are absolute rock classics too ) .
this is so dope cause this is an example of kung fu master drummer dale C, teaching another great in his own right, coady willis, that monster Melvins drum style to a much younger drummer!
@PanHellmuncikPL The Ballad of Dwight Fry. It's an on the Lysol/self titled album. Its a cover of an old Alice Cooper sonf from the "Killers" album. (1971)
Ok i watched, now i know Buzz and i have the same father or something stranger. this was freaky to watch. I love this guy! we got the same hair and attitude. smart fucker. he should run this country.. VOTE FOR BUZZ! They play here in AZ in Oct, my first show. !!
I think when you try to understand why someone does anything your pretty much wasting your time and you need to worry about whats going on in your life. Buzz is a fucking genius.
I got to see the Melvins in 96 opening for Tool. Haven"t seen them since Coady and Jarred joined the band, which is a shame, because i think they are better than ever now. Would it kill you guys to come to Columbus, Ohio??!!
yeah, i pulled the burnout stoner thing for about a year before realizing too much of a good thing is bad. now to be honest i might get to burn one bowl every other day...and it's a nice additive to whatever im doing like strumming/gaming/interneting. its a moderation thing.
@jacobladders I think that's a sweeping generalization, but I respect your lifestyle choice. I wouldn't say weed has more medical value than antibacterial soap or penicillin. Anyway, stay high and healthy bro.
Indeed, I'm definitely for legalizing all drugs. I don't use regularly but I think it's ridiculous to keep grown men from doing what they want in there own home. I think we should be able to allocate where are individual tax dollars by checking categories on our income tax returns. I would check "Roads and Bridges."
Buzz might not care about the opinion of nerd from Illinois, but he said on more than one occasion that he's upset that nobody buys CDs anymore. And before you'll start ripping me apart for saying that - I love Melvins dearly, it just sounds like a bit of contradiction there.
I don't think he's saying that it will hurt your career. I just think he's saying that smoking dope is for teeny boppers and you should move on up the drug ladder when you get old. I wouldn't say that "pot" is the contributing factor to the people you mentioned success and I'm sure they wouldn't either. I mean for Thompson it was definitely coke and whiskey.
well, i dont exactly think buzzo is saying that either. i think he's trying to say that for alot of people pot should be a stage in their live that they leave about 25/26 when they start having kids/careers shit like that. from what i got out of him was that you should grow out of pot and not need it to cope/relax/whatever it is you do. which isnt exactly a bad way of thinking but it doesnt always prove true which is why i said people like thompson and murrey have gotten along fine.
I was joking. I used to smoke dope and occasionally still take a toke, but personally don't like being stoned all the time. I leave it up to each person to decide what they want to do. I just think it's funny how pot heads think that pot is the greatest thing in the world when in reality it doesn't do anything but get you high.
i dunno, i just dont agree with him on this one. i mean pot has done wonders for tons of people who continued to used well into their 30's/40's look at the band om....or hunter s thompson...bill murrey they seem to have gotten along fine smoking pot through their careers.
Guns?? Excuse me, but everybody has CAMERAS AND VIDEO RECORDERS IN THEIR HANDS ALL THE TIME - that's why nobody can get away with anything today. GUNS???? OK....
