Thanks for the video and answering the comments.. Ordered up 1, tired of the Primo machines at the local store always being down, and lunging around 5 gal. water jugs.. How long does it take to filter a batch once it's broken in / conditioned...

I guess I've never timed it because you can have a cup after a couple minutes and then I'm gone and just the let thing filter. When I come back for more it's done. Sorry, I realize that is not real helpful... I would guestimate 15-20min but I'm not certain

@@skinners100honestreviews3 I'll let you know once I get mine up and running. Sounds about right 1/2 hour. It'll take me about 400 gallons to break even from buying from the store machines.

@@skinners100honestreviews3 Got it up and running works great. FYI mine has a flow rate meter not a switch for the UV. The stands very stout. Filter rate around 7min. a gal.

Not with this filter .. I have with other filters though and it worked fine.

we used it all summer in the camper and have not used it this year so I'm not able to answer your question... we had no issues over the summer.

Yes, the plug is just for ultraviolet filtration... I can even find my plug lol

How does this compare to the Berkey water system? Looks similar.

I've never tried the Berkeley. I will say that I still have this on my counter. I love being able to walk by and grab a glass of fresh water. It will not filter 100% of the water, it probably leaves a 1/2 in the bottom but I think it's just because the water level is so low. So it's not a true 2.25gal. Not a big deal but it's something one needs to know

How the hell you going to take it camping if you have to plug it in? What if the grid is down?

Glad you asked! You only need power if you are using the secondary UV filter. If you choose not to use it then it's gravity fed, no electric needed.
