I still love that old show (which was first aired in 1986) even when I am 21 years old. The books on which it is based (The Railway Series written by Reverend Wilbert Awdry and his son Christopher Awdry) is even better. It is enjoyable and educational for people of all ages. I learn a lot about Railways through the books and the old version of that show.

There is no Iyengar- Iyer issue except their philosophy. Iyers are supposed to be Advaitins but mostly do not do so. Iyengars are supposed to follow Vishistaadvaita. Doubt whether the modern generation does that.

They don't. They marry actually. No one follows reads Vedas anymore. Iyengars don't read Ramanujacharya nor do the Iyers read Adi Sankara Acharya. So, once they do, disagreements may arise. Mostly it's fun for the little fight.🙂
