Some people really need to see that Digimon is not a copy of Pokémon. Sure their names are similar but that's about it. Heck Digimon didn't even start as a game, manga, or anime it started as VIRTUAL PET ment to appeal to the more masculine audience. I still love both though.
@@enderborn6860Oh it is so much more. If anything it is tokusatusu, and Godzilla, super sentai and hell even the Beast wars anime. Quite different than Pokemon.
There is also the fact that Digimon was called Digimon before Pokemon was called Pokemon (that at the time was called just Capsule Monsters, but they had to change in order to trademarking issues for something else already using that name, then it became Pocket Monsters, and afterwards, the abbreviation Pokemon). Additional information: while Pocket Monster was trademarked in december of 1997, Digimon was trademarked in october of the same year, there is no way one name is the copy to the other.
I agree. Little dudes literally digivolve to protect you. Some even grow into big buff angels with wings. True guardians. I love Pokemon but when it comes to the story I prefer the digimon franchise over the same boring "defeat team rocket plot" in each Pokemon episode
Plus, since every Digimon can talk, there's no awkward motivation or consent debate. "Hey, Agumon, can you fight that Bakemon for me?" "Sure thing, I hate that guy! He's mean!"
Even if there is logic Pokemon better all digimons is damn ugly I do respect Ur desisyon but do not compare them to the good games like Pokemon or pal nah pal actually is mid
Pokémon evolution be like: Me turtle, me big turtle, me enormous turtle Meanwhile Digimon evolution: Me flower, me bird, me massive killer machine with amour and missile cannon

@@akatsukigajou1639 having limitless evolution doesn't make something better. There's a reason why the world preferred Pokémon evolution and not Digimon evolution.
@@krisjolt If you call yourself intelligent you don't go by what the world chooses the reason most of the world chose pokémon is that they don't really know what evolution is and how it works, one keyword for evolution is adaptation because it's essentially what it is. What Pokémon does is metamorphosis, your charmander will always grow in a straight line to charmeleon>Charizard no matter how you train it because it's not evolution. Digimon is not like that, it's proper evolution and it happens as a response to it's environment, and it's environment is essentially how it's taken care of and how it's trained and how it fights. Your Agumon evolving to Devimon, Meramon,Tyrannomon or even Numemon is just as legit evolutions for Agumon as Greymon.
@@raptros smart people don't call themselves intelligent, so that's a point from mr Raptros. The main reason why the world preferred Pokémon is because there's a variety of monster which you can grow to love. Digimon spent most of their ideas on new evolution instead of multiple chains of monsters or single evolution monsters just so people can pick more than one. Charizard evolution isn't the only way Pokémon evolves. There are tons of way to evolve your Pokémon, some only worked if you give them the right items/level them up in a certain terrain. Pokémon evolution might not be as diverse as Digimon, but it doesn't mean Digimon wins that part. They undeniably lose at that.
For me Digimon was one of my first interest as a kid. I liked the Digimon anime more than the Pokémon anime. One of the games i played recently of Digimon was Digimon World DS, and the freedom you can get for digivolving a single digimon into more then just one digivolution chart and use that as a thing to create a team that suits your styles is honestly one of it's best points.
I remember the first movie I remember seeing was the Digimon movie and I loved it helped that it had a banging sound track which then got me started on the original show
Both are good, there's no bad likes, only toxic people that doesn't accept the likes from others,i personally never watched Digimon and i like more the Pokémon games than the anime, but if You like Pokemon or Digimon,it's okay
I personally dislike Pokemon AS A COMPANY/FRANCHISE cause it just feels like it will always sell whatever they release, I got tired about getting the games just after Let's go Eeve and Sword, but I had great times playing Black/White, Go, or the Silver remake for example. On the other hand Digimon means a lot to me as a series. If you were to ask me the 1st theme that I can remember from a series it is Brave Hearts, my 1st hype/epic moment as a child was Angemon vs Devimon and the 1st moment in fiction that made me shed tears was Impmon reuniting with Ai and Mako and evolving into Beelzebumon Blast Mode. From the games, I bought Next Order several years ago and I never finished it, Cybersleuth was great and I have to play Hacker's Memory and Survive currently. Pokemon just does not appeal to me anymore with the newest games, and I just got tired of the management and the way people consumes Pokemon content. Digimon has meant a lot to me for years, and even so the management bandai makes of the franchise is awful and the newest series dont deliver a good enough product, I am attached to it and will always interest me
@@melissamurray8307 I mean, that is right but it is because they do not have to put the effort to make good games. It is more profitable because they have a high possibility of suceeding and a winning formula.

Fun fact: the original name for "Mega" evolutions in Digimon is Ultimate, the ultimate in the dub is actually perfect originally, champion is adullt and rookie in child. Even so, they still got 1st the idea of the mon retreating back to it's previous form and X digimon are kind of Mega evolutions but cooler (imo) and they did still come out earlier than mega pokemon
@@adiknazrul9356 Well, in terms of anime power level, Charizard has Flamethrower while Daemon got Flaming Inferno lol. I wonder what could be comparable to Rayquaza or Arceus.

Here is my answer for my reson pokemon is better than digimon: No body cares on which is better ya digimon did mega evolution better but pokemon has created a generation of memories, one is seriouse and one is simple here is is a good question why do you all have to fight about which is better?
@@Whale_Boi Try to imagine pokemon trainer watching a character evolve from lizard that scratch and breath fire to a giant robot looking dude that has the power to bomb the earth. It would surely be something so out of place in pokemon world. In my opinion I think both Pokemon and Digimon are fine the way they are, if you combine them together it'll just become too much, beside, both of them may be similar in terms of name and look if you never watch any of them before but they're quite different in a lot of things. I don't want it to become something like Avengers, Marvel, DC or any other superheroes stereotype where there're a lot of different things in one story that it starts to feel chaotic more than being a genuine good world building.
@@angelvillegas9604 they can, that is mostly an anime only thing and a charizard for example aint surviving a nuke either way, let alone a ultimate or anything. There are digimons like Alphamon which are atemporal, Lucemon literally has an attack that has a 50% chance to kill, Megidramon X destroys the universe merely by existing, Magnagarurumon travels at superluminal speeds. Digimon are op as heck.
@@krisjoltso quick question for ya mate… what Digimon games have you played? Cause I’ve played several to completion and they were far from lacking in the gameplay department
If you are going by the Tamers lore and the V-Pets lore yes. Digimon were not created in computers except in Tamers only in some capacity being beings from another dimension that came into contact with the data humans provide via the Network and underwent a fast and high level of evolution. The DW in Tamers is beyond the Human World and the Network and the development of the internet in general is shown to affect it. The more advanced tehnology becomes the higher the rate at wich the DW develops. Or in the original V-Pets where they were sentient viruses that appeared one day in the Net Ocean to wich hackers attached a wireframe and created pseudo spaces like File Island to study them. In anything else Digimon became like that because of the humans perception of them but they were originally yokai, shikigami, demons, spirits who came to the human world and shaped various mythologies and mythological creatures since ancient times that were summoned through magic or sorcery or were subjugated as shikigami through onmyodo. They are ethereal beings that have become tangible and visible through digital means, and are called Digimon in the first place because they can be recognized by modern Digital gadgets that are sensible to the distortions that Digimon manifest through. Beings from layers of reality/a higher dimension that transcends the Human multiverse. The other half of their partners souls/their other selves.

@@ghaniKSW2 It was the franchise that began monster-taming games as a whole. If we really want to run deep, the Ultra Series of films and shows had Kaiju being caught in capsules and pitted against one another in the 60's, and bears the most resemblance to the concept by which Pokemon operates, so that was likely the true origin of where games like Pokemon came from.

That actually only applies to a small percentage of the pokemon world that we just always follow in the mainline games,in reality most people in the pokemon world have just as strong a bond with their pokemon as most people in the digimon world which is why most people in the pokemon world have only two pokemon at most during their entire life. The short of it is there's no point arguing about whether pokemon or digimon is better cuz aside from the cards we don't really have a good idea of just how deep the bond between people and pokemon is.
Even with Dynamax and Gigantism, they can't even hope to beat even the basic Wargreymon. We don't even count Omegamon, Alphamon or even Omegamon Paladin Mode yet when there are so many Digimon that can nuke the hell out of countries or even a planet. PERSONALLY. Digimon evolution is better. No matter how awful you raise a pokemon it'll still evolve the same, you will always expect the same results and there's not much effort to it besides leveling. Digimon evolution is surprising, fun, and unique, if you treat your Digimon like cr*p it will evolve into a heartless monster. This is very immersive to me. I won't expect the same boring results everytime , and if I really wanted a specific evolution you can just search up the evolution chart its not so hard. Its so fun to discover different evolutionns and be able to devolve my Digimon too. Im not out here catching strange pokemon I dont know and forcing them to obey me. In Digimon you actually get to grow a bond with the creatures and there's a heavy focus on raising them and them being genuine partners who have a connection with you. Plus Digimon anime tends to go alot more mature and Digimon aren't afraid to display themselves to be very aggressive creatures. Pokemon rarely displays this while in Digimon its quite obvious a Digimon won't second guess to kill a human and its tamer. They treat their monsters like monsters. I feel like not enough people try Digimon because it just looks weird to them, I did that too.
