Oh wow DAVE&PAUL what an absolutely great dig you doin on memorial day you remembering our fallen from the states and us here in the uk im proud of you guys there digging away and showing your respect and so you have done well with casey just needs a mechanical doctor! My favourites on this dig are the white decorated salt shaker the Bismarck bottle and the stunning symmons liver regulator from ST louis wow outstanding and glad you both didnt have that snake fall on you out the tree looking forward to next vid stay safe and hope all the families are ok...chris on the uk...☺
Sounds like you need new seals on the cylinder. order the right seal kit and pull off the cylinder, crack it open switch over the new seals and put it back together. Seems easy but can be very difficult and require some machining and assisted breaking open of the cylinder.

We have a old rock lined well that the city history books say was dug around 1786.my grandma wanted it filled in so she threw alot of old bricks and dirt down the well and I wanna dig it up and see what's inside what's the best way to get the. Oins that I'm sure are in there
