MEMORIAL STONES - Joshua 4: 20-24 

MONDAY, MAY 27, 2024 IS MEMORIAL DAY here in the USA.... the day on which we ESPECIALLY REMEMBER those who paid the ULTIMATE PRICE and gave the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE in military service to our country. For as our LORD JESUS has said, "GREATER LOVE HAS NO ONE THAN THIS: TO LAY DOWN ONE'S LIFE FOR ONE'S FRIENDS." (John 15:13) But "REMEMBERING" did NOT begin with the establishment of MEMORIAL DAY! In fact, more than 3000 years ago the LORD commanded JOSHUA to set up 12 MEMORIAL STONES in memory of the Israelites' MIRACULOUS CROSSING of the JORDAN RIVER as they commenced their God-ordained conquest into the PROMISED LAND! And because there are at least THREE KEY REASONS WHY ALL CHRISTIANS TODAY ought to remember and commemorate that miraculous crossing as well,
