Okay, let's try that again. This game still has arguably one of the best endings in the entire Persona series. .... And with this, the trifecta of Persona LPs is finally complete!

People always associate persona 3 with "memento mori" (remember that you will die) but people forget the full phrase memento mori, "memento vivere" (remember to live) which Makoto did he really found the answer to life.

How fitting that the finale to P3R is uploaded on the night of a full moon.

that post-credit scene you said "didn't really show more" actually showed MC had died with a smile on his face. That was its only purpose, to reveal he'd died happily and contrast that with the first day an in-game year ago where he was so apathetic

Makoto Yuki (Nico Bizzle): . Survived a deadly incident that took his parents . Held death within him for years . Changed the lives of his friends . Found the answer to the meaning of life. . The only Persona protagonist to unlock the Universe arcana. . Banged a demigod, then got wrecked by said demigod. . Sacrificed his life to ensure that everyone else can keep on living. This man was truly one of a kind. There will never be another like Yuki. Rest in piece The fact that he dies in the end is why you don’t play as him in Ultimax, people. It’s also probably why there aren’t any real severe consequences for dating more than one lady. The devs probably thought it didn’t matter since you’d die anyway.

Hearing all those characters saying how they’ll live their lives, and knowing they’re able to do that because of the Makoto. It made me realize that Makoto was happy. He found the answer to life’s greatest question. He lived a fulfilling life in just one year. Starting as someone who was apathetic about life and not caring about life or death, to slowly realizing the bonds he was forging were more than just strength for him. Which makes sense why he smiled when he created the seal, and when he ultimately passed. Like everything was how it was meant to be. “Tomorrow is a hope, never a promise. So make sure that when your time comes, you don’t have any regrets” this was one of the messages Atlus surely was trying to portray.

I remember hearing the way Takaya is defeated in the manga was so baller I believe that Junpei is running towards Takaya and shirtless Jesus slowly unloads all of his bullets at him. All of them hit, but the bullet wounds just dissapear a second after because Chidori's spirit keeps healing him. Eventually Junpei makes it and he just slices Takaya. Its awesome

I just realized, unique to Reload’s redesign only, Nyx Core’s gold crescent moon inside its egg is an exact reflection of the base Command menu’s half-circle behind character’s silhouette when fighting; and of course, blue being opposite of yellow.

So Nicob, I heard through a grapevine that you'll be collaborating with CHRYSTAAAAAHL this Monday with her time playing Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulation. Can't wait to hear those voices we haven't heard in a long time.

Interesting bit of trivia: it is revealed in the Persona 3 club book that Nyx is actually an alien known as the “Star Eater” that arrived and collided with Earth when life was first developing. Remnants of her body from the collision became the moon but her psyche remained on Earth. It turns out that her psyche’s composition was incompatible with life and thus proved an existential threat to it. This caused an evolutionary explosion in life leading to diversification of life. This also created the collective unconsciousness as a method to fight Nyx’s psyche. By drawing upon a collective fear of death and appreciation of life, the collective unconscious was able to tame pieces of Nyx’s psyche called shadows and make it into part of the collective unconsciousness. The problem was that this required life to accept limited lifespans to have the requisite fear of death to tame Nyx as beforehand life was merely single-celled organisms that reproduced asexually and since “offspring” were identical to “parents” life was functionally immortal (Nyx being the origin of the collective unconsciousness has implications for both Persona 1 and Persona 2 as well as the mainline Shin Megami Tensei games that might imply Nyx is older than the universe and/or the creator of beings we’ve come to know as “demons” as well as possible association with an entity from mainline knows as “The Axiom” but this is a complicated topic). Nonetheless, this is why fear of death can birth a Persona: by tapping into that fear as well as the desire to live, people are drawing upon the same collective force that tamed Nyx and the shadows billions of years ago.

And so on March 5th 2010, Nico bizzle the Dino sizzle dies in his sleep The cause of death: unknown but some say, it was dysentery why did nico bizzle suddenly die? what cause his death? did he really die of dysentery? All of the answers will be revealed in episode aigis - the answer coming out on September 10th, 2024

BTW, not-so-fun-fact. Aigis has a line during the final boss fight if you bring her with you. As soon as Nyx becomes the Death Arcana, she says, "I am with you... to the very end!" It's a small but sweet addition. Another not-so-fun-fact. We learn from the recordings when Aigis breaks into the protag's room while he's sick with a cold that she can monitor vital signs. ...At the very end, she knew he was dying.

Persona 3's ending actually took some time for me to really "get it"; at first I was turned off by the fact that only Aigis was there for Makoto/Minato's final moments and all the other members of SEES not getting to say goodbye to him, but that's not really what the ending is all about. It's bittersweet in every sense, with the world being saved from Nyx and the SEES members remembering their time together, but also with the loss of Makoto/Minato being a heavy price. The death of the protagonist fits in perfectly with the main themes of life and death, and the message of remembering to live while you're still alive, which reflects on the things you've done in the game: hanging out with friends, changing lives, saving the world and ultimately living your life to the fullest. It was through your actions as a player that Makoto/Minato could die happy, as you filled his life with experiences he could have never had if he had stayed uncaring, isolated from the world with his headphones on. Writing this actually makes me appreciate Makoto/Minato's writing more, and while he's not the best character in P3, or even the best silent protagonist Atlus has made, I still can't help but applaud this game for making such a great integration of gameplay and story. As for recommendations for the next LP, I still want to recommend a Tales game, Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga and Yakuza 5 (my reasoning can be found in my comment for the FFVII Rebirth ending) but I also want to add one more game: The House in Fata Morgana. The three games I recommended before are all either RPGs or big undertakings, so you might want to take a break from all that with a great visual novel. Fata Morgana is one of the most harrowing, but also one of the most genuine stories I've ever experienced, and it's best to go in as blind as possible. It also uses the visual novel format to its advantage in cool ways and I would love to see you react to those moments. FM has no voice acting either, so I'm just saying, you could go crazy with ad-libs... The game is also at least half the length of a Persona game or FFVII Rebirth, so I think you (and the Picky Penguins) wouldn't get burned out too quickly.

Holy this is easily the longest video that you have made and great work on Sai's part making this behemoth. I'm glad you lets played P3R it's been such a wonderful journey and it's great to see all the old characters brought to many new people that might have never picked up the original P3. Now all we need is a remake of P1 and P2 in the future. I dont know what's planned next but I hope it can be another route of Fire Emblem Three Houses or maybe Three Hopes.

Paper Mario 64 would be great as the next lp maybe even a return to Three Houses.

I just woke up and what do I see 3 hours you weren't exaggerating how long the last episode will be and I must say after this take sometime off Nico and especially Sai you deserve it. It's now time for let's play recommendations and I suggest Super Paper Mario I mean good story and more Bowser and also a return to Three Houses do another route and hopefully as the Black Eagles it's soon to be the fifth anniversary.

Thank you for playing through P3R it was such a gem to sit through every day after work I'm going to miss it but hopefully in the future Persona 2 can become an option. For the next let's play please let it be Fire Emblem Three Houses it's been so so long now and still a lot to do; if your looking for a shorter let's play Bug Fables is a great game to play through.

Wow just wow this is one hefty finale. I don't know what is planned next but it will be good but I really hope the next LP can finally be the return to Three Houses nearly 5 years 5 YEARS.

To get personal about this game, I picked up P3R on a whim because I wanted a meaty JRPG to see if I even still liked the genre at a time where I felt frustrated, angry and deeply apathetic toward both the world and my life. I was living like the Apathy Syndrome victims only, not brain dead, though I might as well have been. I spent my days terrified to live, starting at the screen of my PC wanting to draw, to write, or just booting up my consoles and feeling no draw toward anything, even franchises I loved. Then this game that I bought on a whim came along and basically forced me to face what I've been running from, the fear that I'll eventually die and be forgotten. Watching these characters fight and crawl their way through AWFUL situations and find hope to live again got to me, several times. I broke down hearing Memories of You for the first time in full context, knowing what it was trying to say. Thank you ATLUS for making the game that slapped me in the face and showed what I was denying myself out of fear during the darkest part of my life. Persona 3 is now my favorite game of all time.

Once more, with feeling! Congrats for finishing Persona 3 Reload Nico! Thanks for giving Liz a shot, cant wait for the eventual stream, I will be locked in. As for recommendations for the next LP, I have two of the VN/adventure game kind. The first is 428 Shibuya Scramble, a Spike Chunsoft VN where you control multiple protagonists and make choices for them, where the consequences of one choice could affect another character in unforeseen ways. I played this game thinking it sounded similar to 13 Sentinels, which I had just finished at the time. But the truth is, the game is incredible, in very different ways to 13S, and I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did when you LP'd 13S. The game is incredibly fun, featuring a very unique style where it uses FMV live action shots to depict everything happening rather than the usual sprites or even 3d models, featuring a lot of colorful characters and a massively entertaining plot, and you can also flex your voice acting muscles too since its unvoiced. The second recommendation I have is an indie game called 1000xRESIST that came out last month. The game got a good amount of buzz on release for having a great story so I played it myself without knowing anything else and the game proved itself to me, its an incredible story told brilliantly, to the point that trying to give a summary of the plot more than what the steam store page says feels like a disservice to the game and the way it gives you information. Not only that, despite the basic gameplay and visuals, they make up for it with incredible direction at times to make for some striking imagery. The devs said that their goal was to channel the same feelings and emotions that they experienced playing through FF7, and they succeeded in spades. It's a game that hasnt left my head since I started it, so I hope you'll check it out. 428 is around 25 hours long while 1000xRESIST is around 15 hours too which can make for a nice change of pace with shorter games after these long RPGs! Cant wait for the next LP regardless!

So when Nyx says "The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, he sealed his fate... Entrusting his future to the cards, man clings to a dim hope." gives us an idea regarding why personas are summoned the way they are in P4 and P5. Since in P4, we have the Investigation Team and Adachi both summon personas by crushing a Tarot Card which corresponds to the arcana of their persona. Which is denying the future which the cards has decided for them. And in Persona 5, the masks being removed can be seen as an evolution of that. With the masks being the roles given to both the Phantom Thieves and Akechi which they're denying. Granted, it's a bit of a stretch. However, its what I had concluded after giving it enough thought. Now, onto a LP suggestion. Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga. With M&L Brothership having been announced, its about time you check out the series its apart of. Just don't make Mario be an ass to Luigi, as the Mario & Luigi series shows how the pair has a strong bond. So the running gag you made would be quite out of place if you were to include it.

Bread has Been Burnt, Lives have been Changed. Thank you nico for this journey that was more than an LP, it was a movement. Now one thing at the end of every LP people often do is request more games to play, so here is my 2 cents. Super Paper Mario : wanna get in on the TTYD hype but you already played it? This game is awesome! While the gameplay is different, the story is truly standout among all PM games. Of course, now is possibly the best time to play the remake of the first Mario and Luigi Game as well, Superstar Saga! Given the new game coming out this year Yakuza 5 : the very first yakuza game in the now legendary yakuza zero engine, and the last game in the series before Y0 vaulted it into the mainstream consciousness, it is an incredible adventure with Kiryu and friends in one of the best engines in the series and amazing sidestories. I know you'll love it, you know you'll love it. Octopath 2: forget octopath 1, you dont need it for this game, octopath 2 is one of the most memorable and heartwarming games I have ever played, and many have called it "the true ff16" enough said.

If you'll remember, the previous Featherman R said it'd be the finale. Of course there wouldn't be an episode this last Sunday.

Congratulations for finishing the trifecta of modern persona... As always my recommendation is trying falcom games like trails or Ys.. Or maybe continue Jojo part 4,yakuza 5 and samurai remnant DLC?

I've made a comment regarding the arcana symbolism of each of the Arcana shadows. Each of the full moon shadows represented a reverse interpretation of their respective arcana. Nyx is no different: they are the reverse Death. Let's go over how. Reversed death represents stagnation, resistance towards change, stillness and death without rebirth. Ryoji’s offer to the party: that he can erase the memories of the dark hour resulting in a painless death shows his willingness to sacrifice the party’s growth in exchange for a peaceful rest. Whereas upright death represents cyclic change, how ever ending is a new beginning, the reversed death represents the final end, similar to how the Fall is prophesized to bring about the end of all things. By arguing that Nyx cannot be stopped and willingly following their fate, they also show resistance to the possibility of change and stillness by playing their pre-determined role. Reversed death can also represent despair towards change or forcing change on others. During the battle with the Nyx avatar, it gives the correct upright Tarot interpretations of the first 12 major arcana showing how well it is able to understand both life and its beauty (indeed the whole “the Arcana is the means by which all is revealed” bit is basically Nyx performing a Tarot reading on all of humanity) but at the end it claims that death comes for all. While this is true, Nyx fails to account for the growth and beauty that can be left behind at death and how death can lead to a new future. The protagonist however, represents the upright position, accepting death but also accepting that death can give meaning to life.

I beg for a return to Three Houses.

Do you notice how the place makoto passes away in, the flowers at the beginning of the game was almost wilted, but by the end of the game its full of life…just how fulfilled his life was at the end of the game🥹🥹

With two LPs biting the dust so close to each other, my recommendation as usual is Trails in the Sky, with its latest entry releasing on July 5th, it's the perfect time to jump in!

I heard The Battle for Everyone's Souls long before I knew what the Persona games were. And after all this time, I'm still convinced tat it's the best final boss theme in a game ever. And the fact that this is the only persona game where the protag gets the Universe card, and ends like this is really something special.

Huh I love all party members have a line when Nyx uses their own Arcana :O

You might be wondering why Nyx is in the moon. The reason why is because she was always there. Nyx crashing into Earth created the moon in the first place and pushed life to rapidly evolve. So remember whenever you see the moon in Persona thats Nyx.

Just now it hit me... "Takaya looks like Jesus, an Evil Jesus that stands for the opposite ideals to the real one, an Antithesis you could say he's Anti-Jesus... ... wait a minute, he's literally the Anti-Christ?!"

My biggest problem with this ending is the sun arcana. That guy died believing his memory would be remembered by the main character, only for the main character to die a couple months later. I get that he made the purple elephant book, but it feels like his personal memory was now forgotten.

I wasn’t able to do as many of these mythological trivias as I would’ve liked, mostly due to being busy with School and Work as well as generally waning interest. Nonetheless, I started to gain more interest as I settled in and am hoping to still do these when the Answer drops (though by then I might be busy playing the DLC myself). Anyways, here is the mythology of the final boss: Nyx. Nyx is a diety/anthropomorphic personification of the night in Greek mythology with “Nyx” literally being Greek for night. Her most prominent role in the mythos is with the ancient Greek creation myths, known as Theogonies. Nyx is notable as one of the first entities to be born out of the primordial chaos of the universe. In turn she would give birth to a host of other deities and personification, often related to ill fortune and prophecy. These children include Thanatos (Death), Philotes (Love), Moros (Doom), Hypnos (Sleep), Eris (Strife), the Oneiroi (Dreams) and the Moirai (Fate). Their father was Erebus who was her brother and the personification of darkness. The other thing she is particularly notable for is being extremely powerful. According to Homer, once Hypnos put Zeus to sleep as a favor for Hera so that she could persecute Heracles. Once Zeus awoke, he was so angry that he sought vengeance against Hypnos who fled and sought protection from his mother Nyx. It was said that even Zeus feared to anger Nyx and thus abandoned his grudge. This story is comparatively unusual as it is a rare instance of Nyx featuring in a myth that is not related to creation. By contrast, most other myths she is involved in invoved the beginning of creation. The most popular account and the one treated as “canon” by both the majority of Greeks and modern writers is Hessiod’s which details how Nyx was born from Chaos alongside Erebus and they birthed their opposites Aether (brightness) and Hemera (day). Hesiod also places Nyx at the far western end of the Earth though in separate sections he also identifies Nyx’s home as being near the entrance to the underworld and that she lives in a house with her daughter Hemera with Nyx coming whenever Hemera leaves explaining the day and night cycle. Other authors such as Philodemus and Epimenides alongside the Neoplatonists claimed that the reason Nyx had to be among the earliest beings born was because they considered air and night to be fundamental substances. According to the myths accounted for by the Christian writer Irenaeus, night existed first alongside silence. As for her dwellings, according to Sophocles and Alcman, Nyx lived passed Oceanus, the embodiment of the oceans in the far west, the same as Hessiod’s account and share their interpretation of the day-night cycle. In the later Roman period Nyx was referred to as Nox. Unlike the Greeks who saw Nyx as a mostly neutral entity, the Romans emphasized her more malicious elements as Nox. Here she is said to reside in the underworld and only comes out at…well…night with the stars following her into the sky. A notable place where Nyx features prominently is in the Orphic traditions. We can see this in plays derived from Orphic creation myths such as Aristophanes’ comedy “The Birds” and Euripides “Hypsipyle” which portrays night as an early entity with Chaos, Erebus and Tartarus (the embodiment of the Greek hell). In addition, the Orphics also credited her as the mother of Ouranos and sometimes Gaia thereby making her the great-grandmother of the Olympians. In these versions she is depicted as sheltering a nurturing a young Zeus, helping him overthrow his father Cronus and lending her abilities as an oracle to him. Here he is depicted as almost a second primary deity alongside Zeus. In addition, some other Orphic traditions place her as the primary deity period as well as the creator of everything. These are notable as they are referenced by the works of Aristotle and his student Eudemus of Rhodes, the former of which describes is his “Metaphysics” theologians who make “night the parent of all”. Of course in the context of Persona 3, the Orphics reverence of night is ironic as the Orphics claimed to be the legacy of Orpheus, the persona of the protagonist who kills night. In iconography, Nyx is a bit inconsistent in portrayal due to being an embodiment of night. Nonetheless, one of her more common depictions is as a woman with wings, riding a chariot through the sky pulled by either two or four horses. Usually, she is either carrying her sons Hypnos and Thanatos or they are literally two of her horses representing how sleep always comes with night and death often too. She rides to the ends of the earth and is followed by Helios (the Sun) and Selene (the Moon). As she flies she is either surrounded by a black mist or is adorned with a black dress dotted with stars representing the void. Another common motif involving stars was to show stars following above her chariot. As I stated earlier, this depiction was particularly popular during the Roman period and as such become some of the most recognizable Iconography for Nyx. In the Megami Tensei series, Nyx’s first appearance is in Shin Megami Tensei 2 where she is a re-skin of the demon Titania. Regardless, her design takes clear inspiration from the depiction of a woman with a black dress coated in stars. Interestingly, her in-game deign differs greatly from her actual character art which shows as a confident woman with a disco-esque hairstyle and strange hair decorations alongside a purely black dress with no stars. This design would later be used in Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne. A common alternative design for her comes from Devil Summoner and is as a completely black almost obsidian-like woman with an enlarged head and a black dress and holds the same pose as the version from Shin Megami Tensei 2. The star motif returns but strangely only around her head and chest area. A notable variation on this design which was used in Persona 1 is the head of the version from Devil Summoner but instead of a body, her head is carried by two figures that are completely dark except for masks with red and blue eyes. These are likely taken to represent Hypnos and Thanatos. Despite these designs, Nyx is a relatively uncommon demon among mainline SMT where her last appearance was Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne. Instead, she is much more notable for her appearances in the Persona series. In Persona 1, she is the ultimate antagonist of the “Snow Queen” quest where she endeavors to create an eternal night and uses the Snow Queen curse to do this. She initially appears as the persona of a major antagonist of the quest before being revealed as her own entity that fuses with two antagonists from the main storyline to become Queen Asura. Of course, Nyx’s most notable outing is in Persona 3 where she is retooled as an embodiment of death, the true form of the moon, the origin of all shadows and the game’s ultimate antagonist from the avatar of Ryoji/Death. As Persona 3 Club Book reveals, this Nyx is in fact an alien known as the “star eater” who fell to earth at the time life was developing. Parts of her body became the moon but her spirit fell to earth where it led to the creation of the collective unconsciousness. This is what Ryoji refers to when she states that she “birthed death”. Regardless no matter the game, Nyx is a powerful demon who almost always has extremely strong magic. She is usually of the Night race in mainline for what should be obvious reasons. Her appearance in Persona 3 og also introduced the move “Moonless Gown” which negates all damage including Almighty and is of course a referenced to the star-filled gown of the mythological Nyx.

Loved this LP, along with this remake of a fantastic game. It really is special to a lot of people. If you want some suggestions for new LPs, maybe you should finally give Mario & Luigi a try, or maybe Professor Layton?

And so ends another Persona LP, one I unfortunately haven't watched much of due to wanting to experience Reload first myself. However, I have been playing FES again these past few months and falling in love with it all over again, so I can't wait to experience this remake hopefully sometime later this year. As for your next LP, as much as I want Yakuza 5 to be your next one, I know it's a huge commitment, and after these two "remake behemoths", you might want something shorter. So instead, I'm suggesting Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Professor Layton and the Curious Village! Both are fairly short games, SS being very wacky in its humor, just like the other Mario RPGs you already played, and Curious Village is the first game in the Professor Layton mystery/puzzle game series, which I think you'd really enjoy! And with both series having an upcoming game on the horizon, there's not a better time to start on them than now!

For the next LP I’d like to recommend “Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga.” Since there’s so many big games coming out in the near future a shorter game seems like a good idea and I think you’d really like it.

This ending is one of the main reasons why Persona 3 has always been one of my favorite games of all time. Persona 3 was my first Persona game, I played it back when I was in middle school. This game and its themes about life has helped me through a lot of tough times, and I'm grateful to re experience it through Reload and, through it, watch this LP. Funnily enough, I found out about Nico through Persona 3, watching his persona 4 let's play way back in the day. It's a weird full circle moment I'm feeling right now. Your videos have also helped brighten up my darkest days, Nico. Thank you so much for that, and for making this LP.

Persona 3 just became my favorite persona game in the series...

As someone who had no experience with Persona 3 before Reload, this was an incredible experience. I loved the cast, the story, the gameplay, UI. I’ll always hold P5 and its section of the Persona series in high regard. It was my first Persona game and I’ve just spent so much time with the PTs at this point with Strikers and Tactica (which I also adored). But truly, P3R easily comes in real close for me in regards to favorites. They’re practically tied, honestly. I’m so hype for when the Answer comes out. Genuinely cannot wait for more with this cast.

Gooooood lord, I didn’t expect the long episode. But as for next LP… hm. With Brothership announced, I definitely recommend Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga! It’s incredibly short, it can lead into Bowser’s Inside Story (the true masterpiece and one of my favorite games of all time), and you just deserve pleasant vibes! Though I’ll also tacitly push 428, I know everyone else is gonna be pushing that today.

After finally hearing that the mc actually died in aigis's lap and nico's explanation, I was so mad at myself for not getting it the first time I finished the game because great seal did use all of the mc's health but I think ryoji gave the mc more time to hang with his friends until he finally dies. That explains why he doesn't come back in anyway. Damn man, crazy but awesome game.

This whole "final day" in P3 gives me such a shockwave of nostalgia. P3 FES was my first Persona game ever. I got stuck on Nyx for hours and did not have enough SP items. 🙃 I ended up taking a huge break before picking it back up again. Eventually, I defeated Nyx. My relief and sense of accomplishment would not last. This ending really got to me. I know I should have seen it coming. Anyway, Nico, thank you for this LP. This final boss music really is a banger.

Wow, that's twice now I managed to get comment of the day in this series! Getting that honor on the playthrough of my favorite game of all time, and on the finale no less, makes it extra special. Both this and the Rebirth LP have been such a joy to experience these last few months. I'm definitely biased with how much I love these games, but these were some of my favorite LPs of yours and I want to thank you for all the work you do to entertain us Picky Penguins. Keep up the great work Nico! Also to throw my hat in the ring for potential new Lets plays, Kid Icarus Uprising is pretty short, which I imagine would be a nice change of pace after 2 big games. And I'd also always be down to see you return to Fire Emblem, whether it be returning to 3 Houses or trying out another game in the series like Awakening or Path of Radiance.

I mentioned them in the finale episode of FFVII Rebirth, but I will once again suggest Twilight Princess and Super Paper Mario for your next LPs. For this LP though, I'm honestly glad I watched it instead of playing it for myself. I recognize that this is a phenomenal game, and the definitive P3 experience... if you are playing the Male protagonist. I stand by my opinion that playing as the FeMC is a much more rewarding experience, and the hints of brightness in her personality we get through the dialogue choices actually add to the themes of the game rather than detract it. Yeah, I'm salty over Atlus leaving her out of Reload, but I'm hoping the demand for her to come back will encourage them to either release an updated version of Reloaded (In which case I will feel VERY validated not picking the vanilla version up), or that they will give us a female protagonist in Persona 6. So yeah, great LP Nico, looking forward to what comes next!

With the anouncement of a new Mario & Luigi game, I'd love to see you hop into the series. Personally, I'd recommend starting with Superstar Saga which is short and sweet much like Mario RPG. It may be refreshing to jump into a shorter game after finishing two massive behemoths.

When I finished Reload I had already played other version of P3 so I had steeled myself for the ending so I wasn't *too* torn up by the ending But the title screen changing after the credits. That broke me.

God the ending hits even harder in context. Speaking of, i found out that in Portable, if you romance Shinji as FeMC, he can end up in a coma rather than dead, only waking up and rushing to the rooftop shortly after the rest of the squad do.

It really hit home since my mom died 7 years ago and that moment really pushed myself to forget about a lot of my past worries and look to the future and.... try to treasure it, because you never know, the next day, could very well be, your last...

Would you consider playing In Stars And Time? It's an indie game made in RPG Maker and I think you'd enjoy it.

Wow, this was a long ending part and a great finale. It was really so emotional and I also cried in the end. Thank you for the great Let´s Play of Persona 3 Reload. I was enjoying it very much and it was so entertaining with you, too. ;-) I agree, the voice actors/actress were so awesome and made this game so much better than the original Persona 3 game. This game is another one of the game of the year top gmes and I am looking forward to the DLC to this great game "P3R the Answers", too. ^^ Yeah, I also hope that there will be a complete/extra/deluxe edition for this game (like P4 Golden/P5 Royal) with the female heroine in it from the P3P game in future, too. That would be so cool and something I am wishing for so long, too. Hey Nico I'd love to recommend for you to try out 'Zanki Zero: Last Beginning' and see if you'd like it or not, it's from spike chunsoft and the same director as Danganronpa 2 and it has so much insane wtf moments and I'd love to see you theorising who and what is happening. Its 8 characters wake up on an island and realize they're the only ones there and they have no idea what happened (I won't go into more incase you do play it) it's a visual novel dungeon crawler and has inventory and base management survival kinda system, I know you'll like the story stuff and characters, I don't know how much you'll like the gameplay I don't know if you're a fan of dungeon crawler/survival games. Anyways if you do end up reading this, whenever I played that game I always imagined your reactions to the insane fucked up stuff that happens in it LOL so I hope you enjoy it if you end up playing it!

So in FES the writing for a lot of the characters was changed from the original Japanese version. This was fixed in Portable where they re-translated the script and then in this game the new cast has a lot of the same voice direction as the Japanese cast. If you compare Akihiko for example, Cy Yu's performance much more closely matches the vibe that Midorikawa Hikaru went for. I know people complained because it was different than FES, but as someone who played P3 multiple times including P3P patched with JP voices, it really stood out to me how much was changed. P4 has some issues too, Chie for example is very different in Japanese. She's more like a cute sporty girl and not fsteak. So if they do a P4 remake I hope they'll also have the courage to stick more to how the game was depicted in Japan.

...doesn't Reload create kind of a time paradox with Akinari's social link? In Persona 4 his book gets mentioned, meaning that it got published. That's because in Persona 3 dude's mother originally had the notebook with his story, and gave the MC the first copy after it's already been published. Here in Reload, though, his mother never got that notebook but you did. And because of the way the game turned out... I guess that contradiction could be resolved just by Mitsuru getting the book published instead after going through your belongings.
