Memory clerks are probably the most important aspect of memory management in SQL Server. It decides who gets how much memory from the limited supply available to the server instance. In this video we cover how the memory in SQL server is very similar to a prison. We explore the different components of SQL Server memory such as buffer pool etc. We also explore how the behave when a query is executed against it.
Later in the video we cover how an in memory table may hog the RAM allocated to the buffer pool and how to identify the database that's consuming the most memory.
