I love the energy of this video. Like there's an unexplained disdain for the world which brought them to life, which can never be escaped.

I’d like to imagine this is what happens to Miku and Shrek after many years in the future. Forgotten icons from a distant generation that aimlessly roam the city longing for the good old times.

In the celestial waltz led by Hatsune Miku and Shrek, where other radiant luminaries twirl in their cosmic dance, one can only fathom the eons they've spent in this ethereal realm.

While Fiona took on her true loves form. However, she was still had a human life span, and passed that onto her children. Now without his donkey, family, Shrek finds himself increasingly living in a strange modern era. The swaps have long dried up in the face of urban sprawl. In a world were the once common and familiar fairy creatures are becoming rare and unheard of. Shrek finding work as motorcyclist driver, his clients being the few magical creatures still found in this depressing technological era. This scary green giant who humanity fears and treats with disgust. His reputation among the magical girl community is well known. He asks no questions, he always appears when need and silently gets them to where they need to go. While his demeanor is aloof and soul is sad, many find comfort resting on his broad, strong back while he fares his fare.

Way to bump the lamp and make Shrek's ears have realistic transparency depending on the lighting. That's incredible craftsmanship.

You know i have seen a lot of real life couples that look like this. The husband is just a big fat ogre and the wife is like "That's my ogre".

Shrek, the green ogre, his face a mask of sadness and Behind him, clinging tightly to his broad back, was Hatsune Miku. Her long, turquoise hair flowed in the wind like a river of sorrow, her usually vibrant eyes dimmed with melancholy. As they sped through the night, the haunting melody of "Memory Reboot" played in the background, its ethereal notes weaving through the air and wrapping around their hearts. The song was a poignant reminder of what they had lost and what they were desperately trying to remember.

I can imagine the whole setting: After a show, Miku takes out the happy face and just assumes the tiredness from being on tour eternally. She sits by the bar after leaving the dressing rooms, the dimmly lit counter revealed only by the hanging lamps is foggy from the smoke. She orders celery licor. Smoke floats slowly at her side. "Rough night?", says the big, green ogre. She downs the dose and orders another. "困難な人生、むしろそのようなものです" Shrek smirks and says "Damn straight" They exchange looks for a few seconds and smile at each other. He begins: "Ya know, lass, I could use a night ride. It helps me forget things. Wanna come with?" She thinks for a second. "はい。私も忘れたいです。少なくとも数時間は。" And I love this scenario so much

After a massive scandal rocked the Vocaloid world, Miku was cast out by her former friends and fans, and even her love for music was now gone. At the same time, a new zoning law decreed by the kingdom forcibly removed Shrek from his swamp to make way for a new housing development. As fate would have it, these two unlikely individuals crossed paths. And although very different from each other, they both shared the same resentment for the world that seemed to have cast them aside. They now travel the world, to find meaning to the hand that fate had dealt them. ~fin~

They aren't lovers They're what's left of Internet history, all they have left is each other. And so they hold on to each other as the wave of impending doom, the new era of the Internet, washes over them and leaves them as a distant memory.

Hatsune Miku, having been discarded by the general internet in favor of using AI speech synthesis with a Miku module, wanders the Netscape looking for new purpose. 2 years, she walks, seeing her relevance becoming less and less every day. Getting to the end of her rope, she stands over a bridge, realizing that it's all shit and what's the fucking point anymore. "A flash in the pan, that's all I was no one needs me anymore." Pouting, Miku folds her arms over her chest like a petulant child. "Not, when they have the su-pe-rior copies." Her robotic voice speaks in a mocking tone as she scrunched her face in disgust. A long melocholic sigh escapes her lips, and as she unfurls her arms, letting them dangle at her side. She looks over the horizon of the Netscape. "I wouldn't say tha'. Things always come n' go. But ya never get forgotten. " Startled by the sudden voice, Miku turns around to see a large figure next to a motorcycle hidden by the dim light of the bridge. "I been round the block a few times. You'll be interestin' again, just watch." Shrek pulls out a cigarette from his vest pocket and lights it. The light from the end illuminated his face, hardened by his long life in the Netscape. "Ah' good way ta look at it: 'it's better to be out than in'. I always say, at least." Walking into the overhead light, a large green ogre gives a cheesy smile. "But, how do you know??" Miku replies, scared at the thought of her own wasting relevance and mortality. "No one needs to use me when they can sing it themselves and create something just as good with a copy of my voice!" Her voice turns to an out-of-tune shrill as her perfectly manicured hands tighten into a fist. Shrek nods slowly, "Aye, they got them fancy AI's, but none of them quite capture that thing that makes..." Shrek takes another drag of his cigarette. "Naw, don't worry about it, they'll come around, they always do. Just look at me!" The ogre motions to himself. His early 2000s CG appearance is a stark contrast to the dimly lit yet stunningly realistic bridge. 'I'M AN OGRE, but there they are out there, chantin 'Shrek is Love, Shrek is life." The ogre shakes his head and gives a gruff but endearing chuckle. "Yer no different meku." Miku looks at him, pensive in trusting his words. Shrek notices the fear in her eyes and holds out his hand. "C'mon, yeah? Let's go get some McDonalds, I hear that Grimace got some of them neew shaakes?" Shrek finishes his sentence with a singsong voice. "Do...you really think they'll never forget me?" Miku says tenative of his answer. Shrek's smile softens, and he scruffles Miku's azure hair. "Really, really." Relcutantly, Miku takes his hand and holds tight to her old friend as they drive off.

Ah yes the internet. The mother of all things so random. Completely separate and different things combined as one. Hatsune Miku, daughter of a Japanese origin voicebank software. Shrek, son of an American superfranchise corporation Dreamworks. Two entities of no relation whatsoever now in the same spot. Embraced and packaged as a meme. Such is the beauty of mother Internet's power.
