It is nearly impossible to do anything new and unique in comedy, but you are really damn close. Your social commentaries are intelligent, concise, well produced, well acted, and thought provoking.
Yes! I swear everyone is just doing relatable "Me IRL", nostalgia based or "offensive" stuff aside from a few creators. This has so much plot, humour, commentary, editing acting and music it's next level.
I love her content, but I’ve literally seen a show or movie with this plot. I can’t remember the name of it right now (ironically), but I’m going to try to find it.
@@rpmflalol I thought that myself. But it was a one season show called Extrapolations, episode 6. People have to pay for cloud storage for their memories and if you can’t afford it, you lose those memories.
literally 😭😂 If we face stress we downgrade. But we do get the extra package of "you will remember every embarrassing and bad thing you've done and fixate on that but you will not recall your friends birthdays or if you already fed the dog"
I'm super jealous at how you're so incredible at making these. They're packed with intellectual humor that's so refreshing. My mind thanks you. ...And maybe upgrading to the premium memory plan would be a good ide--Oh. Wait. I forgot. I can't upgrade. I'm lacking the hardware to handle it. You see, I've got this super buggy operating system called AuDHD. I can't install the needed hardware, because the system wasn't wired to hold more than three memories in working memory slots, and the journey from short term to long term can be risky. There's zappy, exposed wiring all over the place. It's a miracle that anything survives the trip.
Nah this actually scares the shit outa me, I hate managing my photo memory, is so sad to have to erase some photos, or transphere to another place to make some space, there are photos from cool memories; can you even imagine this with the actual memory? I'd be terrified
I can imagine something like this in an immortal society, only you keep whatever 'natural memeory' you have but can pay to get memory expanders, potentially on a subscription based service.
@@LiveLocallyNowand that's why you buy SSDs with high TBW ratings, they're more expensive than HDDs, but are durable Then install Linux, set up your own home server, code/borrow some program to send/receive data for you After which you should open your own internet provider service, because their services are expensive
I could see this happening. Corporations already charge us for the water we drink, and in some places they charge us for the air we breathe. Charging us for our own memories is on brand for them
This is kind of like what living with CPTSD is like. Except throw in pop-ups of ads like "upgrade to premium to see (insert horrifying traumatic memory clip here) and other memories." But you can't upgrade to premium and the ad appears every time you do something tangentially related to that memory.
Yes, total art executed about "us" at the perfect present tech state transitioning "us" to being on a precipice face to face with a real time personal drama with just a tinge of angst. I also like how Elle draws out other's intellectual and analytical observations. Perhaps Elle is a lady with a point and a purpose and the talent to fuse them.
This generic future becoming our existential foregrounding on the metacognitive horizon....how is Elle Cordova so prescience. Where does this mind do it's pre-school ? Elle brain not... Artificial Intelligence. [ ] It is the real time domain. Yes, it is just a "thought.." I am an organic ❤ Welcome to my hearth. Elle fan 😊
Learn to cook, buy your vegetables from a local market, and suddenly "what I had for lunch last week" will become an easy memory to preserve: you prepared it yourself. By the way, last week? I made an amazing recipe: duck magret marinated with spice, then slowly cooked to perfection, served with garlic rice.
Nailed it! This is basically how my brain works. It takes several minutes for memory recall and I've been wishing for years that I could add extra memory drives to my brain.
That would have the unintended consequence of still being traumatized but no longer being able to effectively work on the trauma, so I'm not sure it's a net loss for therapists.
@@michaelmicek I was just about to say the same. That idea was the core concept of someone I knew's RP character. They had fun with the thought exercise of building and role-playing that character.
Holy shit balls! What an absolutely creepy and thought provoking little short! The fact that you can imagine this world and I can understand and relate to it is just scary!
