I hope and pray that you continue writing music and following your desires. I have listened to Hawk Nelson since the first album, and I would comfortably say that the first album is still my favorite, not just from Hawk Nelson, but out of all artists. When I heard that you left the band, I initially thought that you had completely lost it. However, just like you said in your mini documentary, you could have all the fame in the world but if your heart isn't into it, then why are you doing it in the first place? And so after a little research, I found your solo album, Abandon Progress. I am beyond amazed at the music that you have been able to create, and speechless to know that you haven't given up. I know that the lack of recognition has probably been very rough financially and emotionally coming from a successful band, but money is temporary. What isn't temporary is life with God and in turn a life lived to the fullest. So keep on living a life worth fighting for Jason Dunn, and don't you ever lose your faith.
I haven't listened to Hawk Nelson in years and only just now I discovered Jason left the band. Your songs have been a companion when I was just a teenager. I'll support you no matter what on whatever your new plans are! Your voice rocks! (:
Nice! Don't know like any of the covers you do 'cause I just listen to Christian stuff for the most part, but this is awesome. Also, I have heard some stuff from MXPX who you covered in a different video but I didn't recognize the song you did in that one.
+Jason Dunn I don't expect a response, but I have to ask, are you still writing music or planning to write more music? You've never written a song or covered a song that I didn't like, and I know a lot of other people can say the same. Even if I didn't like the original version of a song you've covered, I've always liked your covers. I hope you keep making music, but it's like you said, "At the end of the day, if your heart isn't in what you do, well then why do you do it?" I hope your heart is still in making music. Any kind of response would be nice, whether positive or negative.
