Man you’re not lying!! I lived on holmes in Mitchell heights then Hollywood off Jackson in north Memphis and then I moved to south Memphis on Patton the Kansas then Wellington then kerr street. And I seen some of the most fucked up shit I ever seen in my life in that stretch of years
The reason the cop cut his lights off, They don't pursue fleeing vehicles for traffic charges in Memphis,or stolen vehicles unless a felony crime is involved
He cut his lights off and keep following . They don't suppose to chase in Memphis but they will violate and do it. We got chased one night all through the mound and he never cut his lights on. I said to myself he want us to kill ourselves trying to get away

@@kaydod3190 nope, everyone with any sense has moved to the burbs; Bartlett, Arlington, Germantown, Collierville, Eads. I lived in midtown for 8 years and other than having things stolen off my porch I never had a problem. My mother in law has lived in hickory hood for 32 years and has never had a single issue. Memphis has a problem with thieves but safety wise if you mind your buisiness people are not a threat. If you're a loud ass trying to make a name for yourself or get known as a dope boy you will have issues. There are nice area's as well such as central gardens and riverfront area, the rich elite get that budget. Every year the parks and these areas get million dollar installations while the hoods get a new basketball rim and net. It's the same old shit as any other democratic controlled city. Memphis has the FedEx hub, Toyota plant, Nucor, we have major distributions for the entire southeast with high paying jobs. These areas get taken care of while Frayser, Raleigh, Whitehaven can't even get pot holes repaired. Memphis is a shithole by design, only certain areas matter unfortunately.
We're starting to get more of those idiots here now in Toronto with people during burnouts in the middle of intersections even in the heart of the city. That plus more shootings and stabbings makes diversity so worth it. 🙄 🙄 🙄
From Memphis here, Everyday I walk fearing for my life. And that's during day, never been out in Memphis after the sun goes down, that would be a suicide. Everyday, I can feel every part of my artery beating fearing a penetration of a bullet. Every car that pulls next to me seems like a drive by shooting or a robbery waiting to happen. If you voluntarily come to Memphis, you really don't care about your family. And I don't even live in the bad area. Anyone that tells you different about memphis is lying and trying to be cope. This is the objective truth.
So what@ it’s normal to feel Some of this based off what we see on the news. Memphis is bad I know my boundaries and how to move in the city. Also stay prayed up and watch your back. I don’t get gas in the city. I tell my kids the same thing we fill up in Olive Branch. 🙏🏽🙏🏽 Pray for Memphis!
Memphis definitely has a violence problem. I was on my way home from work and was sitting at a light in East Memphis and all of a sudden a shoot out happened and cars sped off!! I used to have a carefree attitude when it comes to Memphis because this is my home but that night taught me I cant have that attitude anymore.

Honestly nothing compares to Memphis I lived there back in 04 -05. I’ve been in every state from TX to FL to NY and all over the Midwest but Memphis is the most notorious cities I’ve been so far. be on swivel if you go to the M-town

Through the efforts of City Beautiful, Memphis gained the title of cleanest city in Tennessee in 1940, 1941, 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945 and 1946. Memphis also received the Ernest T. Trigg “Nation's Cleanest City” award in 1948, 1949, 1950 and 1951.
I definitely don't love what Memphis has become the condition is s***** you may love some of the people and some of the experiences you had if they were mostly good but overall the negative s*** has to stop
The first part of this with the big guitar is not in a hood. It is in midtown down the street from Overton Square. It is Minglewood Hall. Live concerts. Nice area. Not dangerous at all. Somebody must be confused.

Why do you guys compare South America to America anyway? Jardines and Hiegenopolis in São Paulo are nicer than a lot of neighborhoods I have seen in America. The bottom in South America is worst, but I don’t think you can call hood Memphis nice.
@@jazo85 I think there is real misery here in SA, ppl who is actually starving, but those ppl are in fknig USA, they can get a good meal by 2$, they have GMCs, BMWs, 2 floors houses. There is some things that I can't really understand, those houses are nice houses, just spoiled by inaptitude, the "gang mindset", "i have to be a drug dealer", "i'll shoot everyone", the rap and gang culture is destroying themselves, i watched some interviews in this channel and IMAO the ghetto ppl is creating almost every problem they have, I hate to see that, they dont know what real misery is, dirt roads, tin roof, eat form the fucking garbage and all the thing that come with a 3rd world country, devalued currency, inflation, expensive food, is hard to see ppl in 1st world destroying themselves like that

Say black people inhabit a neighborhood. the property value Declines, services get divested, schools become worse and etc. if someone from this neighborhood attempted to get some financing regarding a business or Mortgage he would have difficultly based on geography. I have immigrant parents and live in America and can see both sides of the fuckery. If you go to Alabama and Mississippi you will see Third world conditions. This is without a doubt. The viability and life blood of neighborhoods depends on if white people want to live there. It’s just an unfortunate fact in America. I’ve seen middle class black neighborhoods erode from Hempstead ny to southwest Atlanta. I know it’s confusing for an outsider to understand.
Charlie has patience when vehicles either turn too wide or back up quick from the parking lot. The only time I used to see burnouts half as good is when people used to use pour bleach on the tires but this car didn't need any.
WIAT!!! Memphis does have it's challenges like any other city. HOWEVER... MEMPHIS also has some other GREAT THINGS going on. The unfortunate thing is that people know negativity gets more attention. So let's not allow OUR CITY to catch the fade of only being shown in a negative light.

Honestly its getting pretty bad if Midtown and Riverside Drive turning up. I just moved from Lamar and South Parkway to out of Memphis. Can't sleep anymore because my ears were so used to straight piped 392's and LS motors, dogs barking, Fire Station with Ambulance leaving every hour on the hour, Semi Trucks rolling down the street and gunshots between 6p and 6a everyday. The deafening silence of a Collierville neighborhood is unbearable.
I worked at the FedEx ramp and a hospital off Union at night.Definitely more drama in the workplace than on the streets that I ever saw.I'm on the east coast now.I grew up in DeSoto County.
2:12 they stripping out on union Ave. They wouldn't dare when the police station was a few block down. Cops chase dem boys up and down Lamar and union and highland all night on the weekends like it's their full time job.

Lived here all my life. The hood here is not as bad as others I have seen. Take at trip to Baltimore, Philadelphia, or DC. Now those are hoods. That being said, it will not be long until this city reaches a breaking point and destroys itself. The thing is, nobody cares anymore and I am tired of defending this town.
