Congratulations Trey, you do a quality job! My guess is that this time around, ESPN would allow the AAC to grab JMU or any SBC team that they wanted. For FCS teams, now (within the next 2 years) is the time to jump to the FBS. The big schools are distracted right now, but they will move to close the door very soon.

As a Memphis fan, after we got down early, I can tell you I was surprised How this team came back and dominated. It's a good sign that this may be a special team. It's early in Missouri could be overrated but anytime you go on the road with an SEC team that made the tournament year before, it's good. This was typically a game we would lose under Coach hardaway, so I'm excited to see us winning it

Trey that's awesome news man. I hope things work out for you. With that in mind do you think the focus of the show will still be on the American conference or the G5 as a whole?

Trey, I hope you end up with a Sirius show. From listening to their P5 station, Channel 84, much of it is interviews. It is not easy to fill 1 full hour of daily content. If they put you on at 2:00AM to 3:00AM, that is a lot of work for little reward. Having a Sunday or Saturday Morning once a week 3HR slot might be better. Whatever you are doing, good G5 content is hard to get. PS: There are many, many specific Team podcasters you could probably create a forum discussion into a G5 Underdogs-MAC, or G5 Underdogs-AAC show for several hours. Your part would be to keep everything civil and spark debate with key questions. You do this well as a 1 man show, but to cover 5 Conferences and get depth, these podcasters would be your defacto local reporters.

At this point, meaning this year, I believe that a 1 loss Toledo would be ranked ahead of any CUSA champ regardless of their record... next that might change.

Rice at 5-7 is not a guarantee for a bowl, they got it last year because there weren't enough teams with 6 victories to fulfill all bowl obligations!

Hate the comment twice but I thought of something. Friday the Memphis women's soccer team, who is number eight in the country plays in the second round of the NCAA tournament. They beat LSU in the first round, and have the nation's longest winning streak in the nation's number one defense. Memphis set a record in attendance for themselves during the first round, and the city is behind them! Don't often get a top 10 team with the nation's longest winning streak, so just celebrating the Memphis women's soccer team. I hope this post isn't the post of death and they lose to Notre Dame on Friday but Notre Dame is a top 10 team as well. In fact, In the 4 team pod in Fayetteville, somehow the NCAA stacked four top 10 teams together. With 32 teams left that's ludicrous but obviously trying to make it easier for other teams. Whoever emerges will have earned it

The Coaches Poll had Colorado and then Memphis as the next 2 to make Top 25. Give it a few weeks of undefeated play, and not will be Top 25.

@@CollegeUnderdogs I totally agree. Why Coaches Poll gave Colorado 46 votes and Memphis 40 is off too. I believe this is press season poll bias. Most people have not liked my football season suggestion to go: Conference Games, Championship Weekend, OOC games, Bowl Games and CFP. Nevertheless, this format destroys the value of preseason poll bias. The Selection Committee would determine all OOC games and balance SOS by Championship Weekend. Games would start with Bowl lock Teams, Potential Bowl Teams, and Bowl eliminated Teams. Finally SOS would be fixed after OOC games so the Selection Committee would have real stats not political stats.

The problem with polls these days is that they are "POWER" hungry... meaning that they don't, or refuse to, understand what P5 is. It's a term that applies to 1/2 of FBS football conferences... it should not be carried over to any other college sports, but yet every single Olympic sports poll is starting to look like the football poll, P5 conference members are always looked upon in a more favorable manner!

Memphis has traditionally been a pretty good basketball program. I don't think it's good old boy as much as they might not trust Memphis lately. I think winning only one tournament game in the last 10 years or so, having two number one classes and not much to show for it, and the preseason top 10 ranking When James Wiseman came, only to see Memphis crash that year, At least according to expectations, has the voter wanting for Memphis to prove it. One win may not be enough for them to completely trust Memphis yet. I think they have had better teams than their tournament success has shown, because of their poor starts they get bad seeds, which hurts them in the tournament, But they usually are playing really good basketball by February. With only one tournament win to show for it, I think Memphis is going to have to earn their respect but I think they will.

Memphis will earn their flowers! The atlantis crowd will be pro Memphis! Memphis will beat Michigan, Arkansas, and North Carolina then leap past FAU with a 6-0 record with 4 Q1 Wins. You herd it here 1st trey. Top 10 in 2 weeks! This Memphis team will only get better as the guys learn eachother. You saw the difference from the 1st half to the second half in the mizzou game.
