Memphis May Fire will remain the greatest Christian metal band. Matty has grown so much and it's incredible. The message of this song is incredible and spreads a very well delivered message.
People who dont like the lyrics dont seem to understand i think... He's talking about his relationship with Jesus and how being in a band other people tell him how to act, what to sing about, and to forget his morals to make sure he success in his career and / or life. He's pretty much saying no, I will stay true to my beliefs and I will hold the values of God higher what people of this world will tell me to do. I really like this song and Im mad hyped for the new album.

It's not even preachy. It's just way too simple cliche crap... Idk i used to be a big fan of MMF but then my lyrical taste just matured.. Try being as an ocean.. At least they have some meaning in their lyrics aside from "i'll stand and fight" for every song
I really hate to see comments like "I miss The Hollow". Each band at some point must grow and do what they want, The Hollow was a great record but Kellen write all the instruments in each record from The Hollow, so it's silly that people say that they have changed. If you don't like what they are doing, then get out of here! True fans support at all times, I'll support them and I'm convinced that this will be a great record.
It will be an amazing record I can tell. Also, it sounds kind of like they are going back to their roots (instrumentally wise anyways) to Sleepwalking from the way it sounds. I hope.
Believing in something an estimated 2.1 billion other people believe in isn't "being different" or not being a sheep. In fact, I think it's quite the opposite. Not saying he believes what he believes because everyone else does, but he's no different than any other Christian saying he believes what he knows is right and he's gonna stay strong and blah blah blah. I haven't been a biggest fan of the way this band changed musically since The Hollow, but I have to give major props to Matty for staying solid lyrically and thematically throughout his career. It takes a lot a faith and conviction to stand for your beliefs in the face of an industry that has an unspoken agenda to eradicate it. Bravo, Matty.

So, SO good. They've always been so relatable and convicting with the lyrics, but these plus the new sound in the chorus just take this up a notch. It's just so popular to hate on them these days, so I really respect this response.

One thing I've always loved about MMF is that Anthony and Kellen never fail to write the craziest riffs. They're both extremely technically diverse guitarists.
