I just got these hand guards from Memphis shades, and I wanted to see how drastic the wind reduction would be. So I mounted one and tested it out to compare with the non installed side. Check it out!
Thanks for the informative video IBR. I've been looking at some cooler weather gloves and had not considered the handguard options on the bike. The test you did with riding with fingerless gloves is a really good comparison to how well they do. 👊👍
My buddy has a set of those on his road glide & he swears that they come in handy when traveling on the highway. To block wind & anything else that may hit his hand.
I was very skeptical at first, but after seeing the difference Im pretty happy with them. It definitely is a simpler mod than heated grips or heated gloves.
Thank you for the great review, details and presentation. I am looking into hand guards for riding this Autumn, Ive got Mini Beach Bars on a Road King and my hands are outside of the windshields protective area. My hands freeze riding in cold weather, but not for much longer, Thanks again
I'm in AZ and I've ridden 200+ miles in 120 degree weather more than once. Handguards are also great in the worst parts of summer. Not all of my bikes have them, and of course I'm usually on a bike without them when needed. You know those days when you soak your helmet and clothes every chance that you get?
👍🏻 Nice way to check the effectiveness. I got another brand for my Road King. They too are great quality. They are nicely finished black painted aluminum and quite a bit cheaper. I did not try them like you did. I did not notice my 2 hands being any warmer at the fingers so I took them off. Keep up the good work bro.
Solid video and review. I already bought and installed these on my 21 Roadking Special, and glad I did. I would say maybe top 60% more coverage thatn without, which aint bad at all. I've had the cheaper "amazon" coffin style, and these work so much better. Looking forward to the colder riding months and long rides.
Just ordered some for my RKS, but I'm in the UK. I have a theory that they will work better the smaller your hands & I have small hands, so I'm hoping that'll mean I'll get more benefit from them. Will find out when the eventually arrive from the US
This is how all product tests should be done. "I'm MotoJawn and I'm going to test out this tire. On my sportster I have one tire, and the other I have no tire. Let's see how it goes!"
@@RoadReality lol you're the one that shows the location and name of the places on your vlog! I only show the scenery, which could be anywhere in md lol
oooo dbaaaa....love it paps...very nice...ride safe always and all set on you...hope you can drop by too at my humble garage...power on for more awesome vlogs
Thanks a lot Dave. It’s on my list for long term upgrades. The two things holding me back are costs, and also lowered fuel mileage. It sounds so good with a cam upgrade tho
@@IronBornRider Got a streetbob 2021 put a ss475 nice lope but the bike ran Like crap even after a dyno had to keep the revs up all the time city riding was painful so decided to go with a se447 torque cam way better smoother and city riding not a problem fuel consumption not bad just some advice for make sure u do ur research cheers
