Nice to see Boling making the final! He could make the mixed relay team

Here we go again, the haters against Matthew Boling. He made the finals once again and if he doesn't get one of the top three spots, he will be in relay pool regardless. And his chances of getting a medal in the 4 x 400 are high. The boy is talented like it or not. Let's support our USA athletes and stop all this nonsense!

He made the final, which is a great accomplishment. Hopefully he gets selected for the relay pool so he can run a prelim rd of the mixed. People were talking like he wouldn't get out of the first rd. He seems to be getting better and better at it. Once he learns to relax and pace himself 44 mid is within reach. That should keep him on many relays for years to come.

Go Matt! Make the Olympics worth watching. I cant believe we're still talking about him after all these years. Where is Laird?

Why so many Matthew boling haters

If bowling got coached right he’d be unbeatable

Mathew can plug roster holes, the team is limited to total number of athletes. If an athlete has a medical condition only an athlete on the roster can fill the hole, you can't call up one from the states once the roster is set. If Boling is put on the relay, he can plug a long jump hole, a 400 hole or a 200 hole (tho weakly).

Bowling needs to be a little stronger on that last 100. If he could shave two tenths off the third and 3 tents off the last one he wins. I don’t think he has the confidence yet to know that he can beat these guys. He will get there. His personality is sucks that he hast to be ahead at 200 and probably 300. He doesn’t have faith in a kick. So he doesn’t leave anything for it.this may be a coaching issue because we know he can run. He seems more tired at the stretch for an open rather than doing the relay. It’s mental.

When it comes to Abby and Matthew, I think their fine athletes, in spite of over the top hype that has been promoted about what they are capable of. Go ahead and root for your champion if you please, but keep it real.

Boling finished 8th in the final. The US team will take 7 400 runners to the Olympics. He will not go this time.

It looked like Boling eased off a bit near the end. Being a heat he figured he qualified for the final. All he had to do was move on.

All that speed and Boling misses it by a tenth of a second. That is such a bad deal for him.

So in the 400 m finals, Matthew just finished next to last place, 8 out of 9! The 16 year old kid beat him! Sometimes people are upset because he just does not deserve all the hype he is receiving! Ditto for Abby!

How come yall on here talking about Bowling? Quincy Hal won running 44.6 and was relaxed and smooth. Bowling got 3rd place and looked tight and tired as usual lol lol lol
