(Just a question to the staff members) I am a teen kendoka and I have joined a team competition last December and won a second place. The symbol that is printed on your table cloths (A men inside the letter k) are the exact symbol on my medal. Is it because i might have joined a teen version of world championship? The teams we competed against were koreans.
very late and not a staff member (though I did compete at this wkc). The symbol you mention is not related to the world championship itself, it's just the logo for the Korea Kumdo Association, the national governing body in korea.
Ann Xu then clinching is a huge part of kendo. And elegance does not matter much in martial arts and sports. What really matters is competition, sportsmanship, and respect for kendo.
@@bruhidekman9228 haha perhaps we have different definition of elegance! by elegance I mean fast in reaction and clever use of sword, which are not in conflict of competition, sportsmanship and respect.
