I agree with the comment about Ron Strykert - if you ever play guitar you realize how good his solo playing is on this song - fantastic! Having the chance to see them live and Ron's playing on this number, I can only admire his prowess. I also always felt it was a pity that Greg Ham did not want to tour the US, so he missed some of the accolades he deserved. Loved his flute playing.
I am very sad for Greg's too-early demise...he was wronged, even though he technically admitted to ripping off the Kookaburra theme song, I think everyone would agree that Down Under sounds nothing like Kookaburra, and I wish he was back, the Brian Jones (multi-instrumentalist) of Men at Work!
With happy memories, let's all remember the late sax/flue/organ/piano/synthesizer player Gregory Norman Ham 09/27/53 - 04/19/12. Lost but not forgotten.
Greg is adorable! It breaks my heart that he's not around anymore...I loved MAW since I was little and my whole family loved their music 🎶 They are THE best!!
Totally agree! I had such a HUGE crush on Greg when I was a teenager...and it never totally went away. The original lineup of MAW is still my all-time favorite band.☺
@@starletohara1631 Yes, it is so devastating! I believe he died of a broken heart... literally and figuratively. I was really moved by his song "Still Life"!
@@ladysnowman5950 You and I are on the same wavelength! I too believe that he died of a broken heart, as a result of the ridiculous lawsuit, the end of his marriage, the deaths of his father and sister, and the unfortunate idea he had that people were only going to remember him "for copying something". Which, of course, is not true at all. I also love "Still Life"; he sings it with such emotion that I can't help wondering if he is singing about something that happened in his own life. I guess he was a very private person, so we will probably never know the real meaning behind the song, but I too am very moved by it.☺

Don't get me wrong I am pissed that the camera was on Greg for such a tiny amount of time but that unnecessarily long zoom in on Colin while he makes direct eye contact with the camera has me laughing my ass off
is that why it has under 100k views because of that then why are you threatning the camera man? like if two cameras were operated at the same time on colins and ron then it would been great

Strykert is playing a great solo and the camera is on Colin. Greg is singing lead and the camera is on Colin. Speiser is playing some killer drum parts and only gets any screen time because Colin is standing in front of him. Meanwhile, Colin's guitar part was so simplistic that he was playing it with one hand. hahaha ridiculous.

@@rayceristau4748 The footage used in this video was the footage that was used in upstage monitor. That's why it is like it is. It was just for the people in the crowd to see from the distance
Agree! Camera almost entirely focused on Hay ---should've featured Ron Strykert lead guitar and Ham on vocals. Even the performance, Hay played a tape of Strykert's main solo. Hay kept gesturing his head to Ron but the camera never moved off of Hay.
@@carlcushmanhybels8159 Yeah, what's up with that?? Ron's guitar solo on this song is the stuff of legend, and Colin gets all the camera time, even when Greg is singing. Not fair!!

99% of the guitar part was played by Ron Strykert. The camera spent 99% of time on Colin Hay despite this song's main feature being excellent guitar by Ron and distinctive singing by Ham, and Speiser's drumming was esp good too.

I can't give enough thumbs up for this band and I definitely can't give enough thumbs down for the camera work! I LOVE this guitar work and he completely missed it! TERRIBLE!
Where are they now? Why do bands not sing about life any more. I mean they do, but it is a microscopic view. Men at Work sung about we all feel, have felt and may feel someday.

BENJAMIN SCISLY Well, they can't... Greg passed away. Ron Strykert and Colin Hay still don't see eye to eye, and John and Jerry are off doing their own thing...
I heard Ron sent Colin death threats about something. I think him and Jerry also used to clash. John seemed to be really quiet. Never heard much about him. Greg, I loved , bless him. He was the joker in the band, always came across as happy go lucky. Just such a shame what happened to him x
Where's the other video for the live music? It sounded better, had better definition, we could see Ron Strikert riffs and was funny to watch. Damn YT for their stupidity.

I want to write something that will make people wake up and think for themselves, I want to see kids playing outside again, this should not be singularity, I believe in US, I believe you feel the same.
