I think another factor that not a lot of people talk about in regards to mental health and the mental state of ones being are the advancement of technology globally. Amongst core beliefs and ones experiences throughout their life, our brains are essentially receivers and antennas and work within certain frequency bandwidths. With the advent of the internet and wifi, these signals are jamming brain activity and functionality, which leads to the chemical imbalances, which leads to the depressive mind states. I reckon in 30/40 years time, research will confirm these detrimental effects, unless they manage to counter the problem through remedial means. Trust me. If anything, turn off any device near you that emits a signal - smartphones, routers, anything smart basically. You will even see the difference in ur sleep patterns, that also is a contributing factor to mental illness.

In those conversations at MAN TALK I hope that you can discuss black men and mixed race men's attitudes towards black women e.g. #Colourism, #misogynoir #lightskinprivilege #fatphobia, hair texture discrimination, the glorification of eurocentric beauty, #domesticabuse #bullying #fatherhood abandonment of the black family, #blacklove #relationships (hetero & lgbtq etc) and basic *Empathy* Just a couple of ideas, I had thought up the idea of having an event for black men to talk and and improve the relationship between black men and women a few years ago but I'm a black woman so I knew that i probably would not be respected or listened to if i was to run such an event. I'm grateful that a man has come forward and started something that sounds vaguely similar to what I was thinking of. 👍🏽

Very good stuff man. Regarding convos in relationships, i think the reason a lot of men don't talk to their women about 'everything' is cos there's always an element of loss of attraction that comes with show of weakness and vulnerability to a woman. My advice would be talk about these things but make sure it comes from a place of strength.
