Calling out the lack of men's coaches from America is so spot on. It's because of our youth system and coaches can live a comfortable life getting paid in the pay to play system.
Youth soccer coaching is so bad. Both my kids have played for several years in grade school leagues and all the coaching is regarding game play. All those hours of pay to play and I’m the one expected to teach them how to properly kick and dribble a ball.
@@richpak1398 That's because about a decade ago US Soccer's whole thing was the best teacher of the game is the game. Reality is there are times to do that and there are times to work on technical skills. When I first got my license, it was Whole Part Whole, then Play Practice Play and my C license a few years ago was Orientation Learning Implementation, none of which taught a soccer style or philosophy, just suggestions.
Rog is an absolute blessing from the football gods, without which, I might have given up on USMNT long ago & become a Brazil supporter 😁His humor & eloquence are a miraculous healing salve
😼 Americans still often play mechanically, robotically compared to South American teams, like Uruguay and Colombia, that often play intuitively, fluidly, and with roughness.
Considering the US played 7 guys who literally either have never lived or have no living memory of ever having lived in the US, and an 8th in Timothy Weah who lived all over the globe and joined the PSG academy at 14, I am not sure this is really the team with which to make that point. They are trying to get a team of ringers, and they still can't play!🤣😂🤣 It would be a great slapstick comedy to pitch to Will Ferrell and John C Reilly. Can they get Daniel Kaluuya to be one of the ringers who can't beat Panama?
Had never heard of this guy til now. He's great haha. But, I'm curious - why's he so against rooting for his motherland of England? That came off a bit odd, weird to me b/c he was adamant about bringing this up multiple times in this interview.
Coaching kids in the US is crap, pure ands simple. They never learn about soccer mentality, the toughness needed to succeed on the pitch; all they're taught is mechanics, not football smarts.
The day you stop saying soccer and putting that name in your jerseys, then you'll be relevant at fútbol. Until then, you are still playing a different sport
This man made it very clear, several times during the interview that he hates England., the country of his birth. Is he trying to be trendy, just for some cheap laughs. Can't you find a genuine England supporter, someone who supports his country through the good times and the bad.
The man's an American who has supported the US since the 90s, so clearly, this is not a trend; he lives this. Also, not once did he claim he was an England supporter and wasn't even going to bring it up until Rich did. How about instead of Rich searching for someone better to interview, you go ahead and find a different video to watch with someone who actually supports England.
jmo but it seems 2 me the vast majority of England fans r ALWAYS upset w/ the playas, the gaffer, the FA, &/or sum combo. bout 2 play a final of the top continental tourney & they r STIL bitchin bout Gareth & the startin XI choices [??!!] soooo, sry, but it jus seems 2 b embedded in that futbol culture. & as an England fan & EPL slap, it bemuses me -- deeply ... :-)
