Emotional attachment is pretty difficult to break actually. It's a feeling in the sense that it's not rational, like the guy moved on already but the woman still feels and acts loyal as if they're still together. It's not the kind of feeling that changes easily unless (1) physical violence/feels unsafe around that guy; (2) verbal and mental abuse; (3) deal breaker like being accused of stealing his money or something when she didn't; or he doesn't find work been two years; (4) as people have informed me, the type of gal that's slept around and subsequently has difficulty attaching via intimicy.

I told her, researched how to rebuild love, and we worked on it together and saw a marriage counselor. I wondered why she didn't do the same when she started falling out of love? The therapist pointed out that maybe she didn't want to save things. That hit like a ton of bricks. But I honestly don't know if she knew it or not.

I was somewhat distracted taking care of my father as he lost his mind and all control of his body. She’s ten years older than me but lacked the compassion to just be decent. I got cancer shortly after breaking up with her. Fighting end stage cancer without a single visitor including the woman who “woukd be there for me ALWAYS” was rough. Hospital was a mile from her. I fought to survive because the thought of her giving a phony eulogy terrified me. She’d done that for her previous ex. He didn’t survive cancer. The exact same cancer I had. A woman is beautiful and she gets a hall pass to be a horrible piece of trash. At my douchiest 23 year old “player” worst I wouldn’t have dreamed of being half cruel as this 45 year old woman was. Society rewards her for it. She’ll spend the rest of her life very rich. My dad died at 70 a Harvard grad. I’m ashamed I missed five minutes around him because I thought this tramp was my soulmate. I hadn’t grown up enough to realize some women will lie to your face with tears in their eyes even at 45. I thought people matured. There was no “wall” just older guys sliding in her box. Almost feel sorry for the husband but I think he knows and just doesn’t care or have any options other than tv dinners. He will learn that loneliness is preferable to being with a sociopath.
