Straight from a great movie "Trippin 1999" the 90s gave us the best soundtracks (R&B, Rap, Hip Hop, Pop), when movies had soundtracks with love and feeling....Love 90s
The people of this generation will never know how good music was because they didn't grow up or was an adult in the 90's it's my favorite decade and this is my favorite song
@@RS7RVyup only on soundtracks…..remember Brown Sugar? I bought that soundtrack bc of Mos Def “Fine” song and E Badu and Commons song. Turns out, there were some more good bangers on there!
So many people miss Karlie in this video! When she wasn’t trying to tell he age on LAHH I was like, b**ch we saw you in men of vision video…we know you pushing 50! 🤣
I know Men of Vizion nailed this video with their singing, but man, the stylists for this video were the stars of this video too. The clothes, the shoes, and the hair was on point.
I used to hear this song when I was 15 on the radio. Today I remembered it out nowhere early in the morning. I had to look it up. Didn't even know the title or artist. Good luck to all those searching for it. 💖🌟
I last heard it over 20 years ago and I never knew the title, but the title was still fresh in my mind. Googled it for years and just found it by chance last month and not a day goes by without me playing it on repeat a couple times.
girl me too!! this song literally has been in my head for 2 days and i couldnt remember where i heard it from, i didnt know the name of the song or who sanged it i just knew the chorus and im here lol thank god for youtube... and i use to watch trippin all the time back in the day whenever it came on cinamax lol
When fans of newer shit don't understand WHY we call certain shit garbage. It's cuz we got to experience the BEST eras of music, film, and television. We've seen how good it gets!
I didn't know Joe produced this but when you listen to the lyrics it does sound like something Joe would sing even down to the harmony this song should have been a top 10 hit😊
Caught Trippin on HBO one late night back in 99 (the year that I graduated), and I can STILL watch this movie as if it were brand new!! It gets some hate, but I love the movie as well as the soundtrack, 99 was such a great year
I last heard this song as a kid 15-20 years ago. Never forgot the chorus and have been looking for it for atleast 10 years. I'm glad I decided to search one more time🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Man 1997-2000 that era of Black lead movies was special! Trippin Ride Woo Sprung How To Be A Player Booty Call I Got the Hookup Good Burger Bluestreak Rush Hour so many great movies & even being in elementary & middle school my mom would take &/ or drop me off at the movies with $20//30 with all my friends and we would watch movies. Simple times. I seen every movie I named and more even the R rates movies. The nostalgia I just got made me damn tear up. I had a crush that looked like Maia Campbell from this movie 98 I was 9 damn lol!!!!
Why do people think 90s was the only era of good music. The early and mid 2000s also had classics. I would even go as far as to say up to 2009 was solid music
Yes this was my jam I remember the light skin dude & lead singer from Riff & "Lean on Me." Michael Jackson didn't sign just anybody you had to have talent & soul!
This Trippin (1999) soundtrack was satisfying for me in the first place and it was a serious time capsule for the late 1990s in Black music. But this song by Men of Vizion was the best song on that soundtrack in my opinion. Just a smooth groove with some tough ass vocals by an underrated group.
JUST COMING BACK TO SEE FROM MY FRESHMAN DAYS IN HIGH SCHOOL...I PLAYED THIS THRU ALL MY MILITARY DAYS... WHEREVER THEY SENT ME... IT HIT MUCH HARDER IN WAR ZONES THO... BELIEVE ME
Remember light skin from movie with Joe Clark and I remember Spanky from a little boy. He said he was gonna be a Star. AND THAT HE IS. Guys into Gospel right now with Darryl McFadden.. Love them all. BE BLESSED.
3 of their members were in the group Riff from lean on me. The two brothers (the first two lead singers) & the light skin cat. Them 3 were in Riff. Look up their videos.
