Hell yes. The few comments I get ate from women, and are positive. Used to go to Leather Bars in Boston, I was pulled over many bars, only to have hot bartender suck face! Loved it! I will wear today to Drs. appt. May do a sweatshirt for the top though.
Beautiful leather gear! It pays to buy quality leather jackets and pants. That Kooples jacket is so nice! I would hold off on tailoring. Wear the leather pants for a while, as they will stretch and then tailor them.
Thank you! Ya I totally agree about buying quality leather. They will definitely last a life time if you treat them right. I appreciate the tip I will definitely hold off on the tailoring and see how they break in. 🙏✌️
I got leather pants recently (cheap faux leather from asos but I actually dig them) and have struggled to style them! All these looks are great and help a lot
Really that’s awesome.. I need to check out ASOS. I’m actually going to be doing another video soon about more casual ways to style the leather pants so stay tuned. 🙏✌️
@@EricWertz Faux leather jeans do not breathe, so they get wet inside and stick yo your legs. They also melt, if a cigarette gets brushed against them.
@@wilsjane really that’s a bummer. Unfortunately not everyone wants or can shell out the cash for real leather pants. You know anything about vegan leather curious on how those are for people that aren’t in to leather but still want the look?
@@EricWertz You can get real cowhide leather pants for around the same price as quality denim jeans here in the UK (around £120). They breathe and are much safer around guys who get too engrossed to find an ashtray. LOL
@eric, you look incredible incredible in those pants. They are styled really well but beyond that, they fit you and your personality incredibly well too. I’m sure you turn heads when you’re wearing them. And the sunglasses really make the fit…for me the Oakleys are the choice when you are styled like that, like you said they have the toughness that matches the look.
Thanks so much! haha you know I didn't get to wear them out too much last year because I think I got them right before spring and then it was too hot. Now that fall is here I've been getting a lot of requests to style them again, so stay tuned for more outfits with them! Thanks so much though - glad you dig the outfit
I like how you style this together. The choices of boots, pants, leather belt and shirt. To be honest I would only wear this attire for a photoshoot not in real life. There are too much leather on leather crime going on. Either denim Jacket leather Pants or vice-versa.
Thank you! haha Yeah it might be a little much for some people. But I was going for a more biker style look. I keep getting requests to style these leather pants differently, so I'll definitely do some more looks in them eventually! Might not be until after summer though!
The word 'cheap' is obscene. Never ever go low price with cologne, fur, jewelry, leather, suits, or US. Follow the cool rules to remain the ultimate Mr. Cool that you already are, Eric. YOU DO ROCK!
Good video 👍 and I absolutely love black leather clothing especially leather jeans 😍 ♥. I own 3 pairs of genuine black leather jeans and 2 black leather biker jackets. Nothing better than leather clothing to look stylish. Love your outfit buddy. Where did you buy your leather jeans from? I bought my leather jeans from a leather shop and they feel, look and smell fantastic.
Ya black leather is an essential for me. It’s definitely one of the pieces I look at as an investment because if you treat it right it will last forever. These I picked up from yoox.com . What leather shop did you get yours at?
@@stevecarpenter9931 Do you wear cowhide leather jeans, that resist cigarette ash and embers.? My friend got a pair of fake leather jeans (PVC) and the first time he wore them at a crowded party, a guys cigarette melted a hole in them. LOL.
Thank you! Sorry what do you mean full panel? Here's the link to them if you want to check them out. And they're 40% off right now which is the lowest they've been in a while! shopstyle.it/l/bUd7c
@@EricWertz Leather pants that are "full panel" are made from a single piece of leather and do not have a seam in the knee. I have a pair of leather pants that are full panel in the front, but not in the back. I think that I have also heard "single panel" for what I am describing. Pants made without the seams in the knee can get very expensive.
Bro, the fits are all 🔥, but, the proverbial but, you know what would top this fit off? Maison Margiela Tabi boot semi-hell, black - understated, yet the feet a heel going crazy. Nonetheless, great fits irregardless.
Hey! My current favorite leather is from The Kooples. They unfortunately don't sell this one anymore. They do have another one but it doesn't have silver hardware and for me personally I don't love the black zipper and buttons, but if you like it, the shape of the jacket is very similar to mine! If I find another one that is similar to mine I'll let you know. But this is the one they currently have but with black hardware: www.thekooples.com/us/en_US/p/black-leather-biker-jacket-HCUI27009KBLA01.html
@@EricWertz thanks mate, appreciate the reply. While you here, any chance you have a brand recommendation for a nice pointed collar leather jacket? Cheers.
Hey! Sorry, I don't know why I don't see all of my new RU-vid comments in the platform. I'm seeing new comments and questions from people from like 3 weeks ago, but having to scroll back. Anyways, sorry I missed this! So you mean like a biker jacket? The one I currently wear the most often is from The Kooples, but they unfortunately don't have it available anymore, but I get a lot of pieces from Other UK, and I have my eye on one of their biker jackets that I think I might get next! Here's the link to one of them: collabs.shop/qvndef And then they have another one (which I think is the one I'm going to get) because I don't have a distressed looking biker yet. Yeah, now looking at it again, I need this one! LOL Here's the link: collabs.shop/z9nslt Let me know if that's the style jacket you were looking for and if you end up getting one! Oh, and you can use my code BLUECOLLARPREP for 10% OFF if you decide to get one!
@@richardvazquez4247 (Eric can of course answer for himself.) Physically, leather pants usually feel heavier, stiffer, and more 'solid' than woven fabrics. Many leathers will stretch a BIT and conform to you over time as you wear them and break them in, but won't stretch to fit you better on the spot unless the garment has stretch panels/features built into it. The traditional size adjustment feature on leather garments has been adjustable laced gussets; some leather pants have those as a design feature on the outsides of the legs and/or waist. Other than that, the best thing is to get a really good fit in your leather pants when you buy them. Some manufacturers pattern/sew their leather pants true-to-measured-size while others don't. Leather varies in thickness but is still traditionally rated by weight (oz.) and in general the heaviest leather suitable for pants is 3-4.5 oz. You'd find that kind of thicker material in motorcycle pants, where it gives greater abrasion protection (skin against asphalt), and you'd find thinner material in fashion wear pants. Lamb is thinner, cheaper, silky rather than waxy, and generally less durable than other leathers. Cowhide and steerhide are standard fare for leather pants and jackets and come in a variety of weights. Buffalo hide is a bit stiffer. Horsehide can be either moderately stiff or VERY stiff, is harder to find and among the most expensive leathers, is very dense and a bit warmer than cow or steer, and is highly prized for its grain, texture, and appearance once broken it. Less 'spongy' than cow or steer, horse tends to hold/show its wrinkles (e.g., behind the knees) once broken in. Goat is generally lighter and more waterproof than cow or steer. Some leathers are buttery-soft right off the rack, but others are stiffer though they will break in to varying degrees over time. Leather pants come a variety of 'fits' and cuts. 'Boot cut' pants have slightly flared lower legs so that your boots can fit inside the pant legs; 'straight cut' pants don't have the flare. 'Tube cut' pants fit you snugly everywhere. 'Regular cut/fit' pants are a little looser everywhere than are snug-fitting denim jeans. 'Relaxed fit' pants are quite roomy everywhere. Faux leather is PLASTIC even though it superficially resembles real leather, is much cheaper, and feels much cheaper too. I think it's actually less durable than real leather. Cheaper (real) leather pants have a horizontal seam behind the knees (saves material and money for the manufacturer) and sometimes across the front of the knees as well. Higher-priced leather pants have solid/one-piece leg panels. Motorcycle leather pants can double as fashion wear depending on their design and hardware. Schott and Vanson both make nice 'plain jeans'-style steerhide leather pants without all the extra motorcycle armor, padding, and reinforcement on them. Leather shops will have similar or more fashion-oriented leather pants. Anerican-made leather garments are generally better (quality of materials and smell) than cheaper stuff from India or Pakistan. German-made or UK-made are generally fine. If you can find a used pair of Aero horsehide pants (Scotland) in your waist size and inseam length grab them up; they're great but no longer being made. Socially, it can feel odd in a standout-ish sort of way to wear leather pants in public just because they're UNUSUAL in most locales. Like someone dressed in a clown costume and facial makeup, though not quite so drastically, leather makes you stand out from others, and the MORE leather you wear at once the greater that effect is. When you wear leather pants you will probably be 'the first guy on your block' to do so. Leather pants can be a biker look, a gay look, a rocker look, a fashion look, a youthful look, a fetish look, or a 'show biz' look, and that kind of stereotyping can be either fine or detrimental depending on who you are, what 'message' you want your clothes to send, and where you'll be wearing them. Normally, just leather pants plus woven fabrics or just a leather jacket plus woven fabrics is already a LOT of leather for everyday wear. Full leather--jacket, pants, belt, and shoes/boots--is going to seem deliberately 'over the top' to most people who encounter you in it. The 'gay' leather look is typically an EXAGGERATED (head to toe) version of a more standard 'biker' look of a jacket and boots, or (less commonly) a jacket, pants, and boots. On men, leather pants are more unusual than are leather jackets. A good temperature range for wearing leather pants is 32-75F. Colder than that and you'll probably be chilled; warmer than that and your legs will probably sweat. Leather in general is more windproof than it is temperature-protective. Woven-fabric LINED leather pants feel pretty much like regular pants against the legs; typical slide-in-easier linings they come with are rayon, polyester, nylon, etc. and they typically end below the knee. UNLINED or LEATHER-LINED leather pants are a bit harder to put on but can feel rich, comforting, and sensuous, depending on the type of hide from which they're made. I would suppose no one really buys leather-lined leather pants except for the sensuous aspect. Leather pants are generally more 'daring' than regular woven-fabric pants because of their interesting grain/texture and their SHEEN, which to a greater extent reveals the underneath contours of the wearer's body. (Suede pants lack sheen and so are less 'revealing' unless the fit is tight.) At the same time leather pants NEED NOT be lewd if the sheen is more subtle and/or the fit is more 'regular' than tight. It depends on what you want.
Thank you! Hell yeah. I don't wear all leather often, but I love leather jackets in fall and winter. I'll have to make a point to wear these leather pants more often when the season allows, because I always get so much love on them!
Ohhh I love that idea. I love brown pants and wear my brown Wrangler Wranchers all the time, so I can definitely see me loving a brown leather pair for sure. Thanks for the suggestion!
It's actually a robe! I have this one and another blue aztec print one. They were from Pendleton, but I don't think they have this exact color anymore, but they have other colors and another brown one - they're all sick! Here's the link to their robes: bit.ly/3xXv6Ca
