They changed the name of the Laser class! That's a bit weird. Still i'm sure it won't affect the quality of the racing.

I believe the full name for this class is "ILCA Dinghy" and people shorten it to "Dinghy". These are also commonly called "Lasers" by recreational sailors around the world.

they are officially called ILCAs, but most call them lasers still

From what i can gather you go around aimlessly for about 5 min then the race starts and maby you go forward maby you dont ten min later its called off because theres no wind

Just heard the commentary on dinghy racing. Awful. The male commentator spoke nonstop, didn’t seem to know what was going on and couldn’t identify the competitors for the benefit of viewers. No doubt another highly paid employee who has talked his way into an overseas job.
